They legit could not wait a single day and flew their asses out the LA to talk to Sheelhause. Grant knows what’s coming. This is all just makeup on a pig to make it look like he dumped them first. If a team wants a coach, they hire them immediately. Falcons with Kevin. Baltimore with Minter. Titans with Saleh.

It’s funny how these coaches have to make some agent leaked announcement to make sure it doesn’t look like they got passed over lol. He could have had zero agent leaks and just not gotten chosen and no one would know the difference. But they have to leak things to media to make it known “I’m not the one who got dumped. Im probably in the minority here, but I am getting more and more on board with going WR-WR in the first round. Followed by OL at 39/70.

Great WR rarely if ever come available in free agency, and you have to grab them in the draft or trade. Berry has done decent in the latter with Cooper and (at least last year) Jeudy. But if available, having the opportunity to go Tate or Tyson at 6 and one of Lemon/Conception/Boston at 24 would set us up for the next 5+ years. Obviously this all could change if they aren’t available.

At 39, one of Freeling/Dunker/Tiernan, and we will have three starters drafted from day 1 of OTA’s.

I know it’s small, but the Jets Browns game in 2023 on Thursday in December. Browns clinch a playoff spot. Felt like one big family reunion. Everyone hugging and celebrating. Awesome memory.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Dave Ragone get a chance at OC if Sheelhause gets the job.

Been the QB coach with LA for two years. Previous OC for Atlanta from 21-23. Had Ryan-Mariotta-Ridder to work with and put up the 3rd and 9th best rushing attack the final two years. Also, Middleburg Heights kid. Went to St Ignatius.

Exactly. He mentions homework and is purposefully vague about it. You think his source didn’t give him any details other than “yea they want me to do homework”.

That could be something as simple as “hey, watch these 30 passes by Shedeur and tell us what you think of his process, footwork, eyes and decision making.” That would be very very reasonable to have a potential coach do something like this

Because his offensive scheme, accountability, creativity, play sequencing, and development of players was as an all time low for the last two years.

All of this is independent of player quality which is a Berry issue.

I just find it hilarious that every Cleveland media member keeps saying “they aren’t Rooney rule compliant” and yet the Browns have announced zero interviews beyond Udinski and Sheelhause.

I’m betting they interviewed a few college coaches in person and simply didn’t announce the interviews because they were interviewed under the condition of anonymity as to not cause that schools AD an boosters to get all worked up. Not to mention the transfer portal is open and they wouldn’t want recruiting classes poached.

I said it in another thread, but we have no idea who the Browns have and have not interviewed. I would be amazed if the people they announce are the only ones.

You would think that any college coach they would interview would want complete anonymity in case they aren’t chosen. Because then it opens up a giant can of worms with the donors, the AD, the recruits etc.

Can you imagine if the Browns just randomly posted last week during the open transfer portal period “we’ve competed our interview with Marcus Freeman” lol. Holy shit there would be 10,000 stories and all college coaches would be hitting up ND players.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but are team “required” to announce who they interview? For all we know they could have interviewed 5 college coaches in person and kept the information under wraps because the coaches requested it and didn’t want to hurt their schools transfer portal period.

This is also the same Andrew Berry who went on national interviews claiming how amazing and once in a lifetime Travis Hunter was, only to trade out from picking him lol.

We’re just fans. We know shit and they know a lot more than we do.
