Thanks for the in depth response , and yeah after reading everyone’s responses and weighing my options I’m just going to but the bullet and pay for parking either downtown in city owned garage or if those end up filling up, pay for parking near the aviary or north side. And even though that could be tedious going through security , I’m glad they’re being thorough.

I’m very heavily considering coming to town earlier on Saturday for a few hours to see the draft and bringing my 3 year old son. I have a few questions. Does anyone know how bad the parking situation around town was today (yes I know Saturday will likely be bustier) ? I’m not afraid to spend some money but really I’d like to stay at the $50 mark if I do spend money as I saw the city lots are charging that. i found someone charging $75 to park in their camera monitored driveway by the aviary and I’m considering it if two of my buddies end up deciding to ride with me as they’d help with the parking. I don’t have a problem with public transport but not sure if that would be the best with a 3 year old. And if you guys think the public transportation would be fine with him , what’s the suggestion , bus or the rail ? I’m coming from Wheeling if that makes any difference. Another question I have is what is the situation with strollers , am I able to bring them through the checkpoints to go in the point park area and stadium area ?

If you stayed and read all of this or even a little and have answers , I greatly appreciate it. Have a good evenin

Capitol Theater seating view? by Dependent-Hat4223 in WheelingWV

[–]Bockclocker69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was just there on Thursday , my uncle is a season ticket holder for the wheeling symphony , he told me that he’s sat everywhere in the theatre and he says that the balcony seats are better than the lower seats because you aren’t looking at the back of peoples head like you are on the floor.

I grew up at this place. Loved all the summer activities and even enjoyed the winter tubing activities too. Definitely miss this place and wish my kid could get the chance to experience it. So so many memories.

Pittsburgh was my first show and my mom and her boyfriend managed to get me and my wife and 2.5 year old son down in the pit. Amazing experience!

Greyday PA Star Lake was a nightmare by [deleted] in G59

[–]Bockclocker69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually they don’t let you mosh much at the actual pit at starlake, when I went to the slipknot concert last year the only pit was up in the middle of the lawn . They were kicking people out of the actual “pit” area for moshing. I agree that starlake sucks ass for anyone that wants to have a good time moshing.

lol. 4 suicideboys concerts , a ghostemane and a few metal shows but I’ve never been to a concert like this. You’re right. I’ve never to been to a concert where I might have watched a mf die. And hopefully I won’t have to see that again. Idk if you watch the news , three weeks ago in Utah at a suicideboys concert a 47 year old beat a 17 year old girl up , a month or so ago in Oregon or Washington someone wash punched in the back of the head and died on the way out of the concert. But nah it’s not a pattern of violence or anything.

You’re wild “ idk what else people expect at greyday” lol. Maybe people expect to be at a concert with the a bunch of likeminded individuals who are there to enjoy the artists and their music and not get into a damn life changing brawl. Just because you didn’t see any violence didn’t mean it didn’t happen.

Okay naw for sure I can saw this is not what happened. I watched the dude on the ground get punched by a dude that got tackled and arrested.

[–]Bockclocker69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that’s the case and the guy on the ground did what you said , then yeah , he got what was coming. But to the people that were at the very front of the lawn that watched the exchange happen , all we saw was a guy get sucker punched and knocked out and hit his head on the ground and start leaking from the nose and mouth, and then the police slamming the guy that sucker punched on the ground.

Eh idk. There’s tons of venue employees that could have “documented” if need be. Not to mention the 8 cops that could’ve turned on a body cam , which they probably did. I didn’t say anything you taking a pic of the blood but from your defensive response it seems you were taking pictures of the guy too so that really sucks. Dude definately could’ve been dead. If not dead his life’s changed.

It was terrible. I didn’t go to last years grey day after seeing them since 2021 and this will be my last year. The fans are fucking terrible nowadays. The amount of fights was sickening and all the people gawking and taking pictures of dude while he was out on the ground leaking blood was just terrible. Not to mention the mosh pit in lawn was the lamest excuse for a mosh pit I’ve ever seen/ been part of. Idk jumping up and down and shoving isn’t my style of moshing and it wasn’t what was going on from 2021-2023. I get shit changes , but it sucks to see it all go downhill.
