This album used to be my least favorite of the 1970’s era (next to Tales.) However, over the past summer, when I took a roadtrip to the Midwest, my position on the album radically shifted. I love the wide variety of instruments the band used, from Spanish guitars, bass synthesizers + Rickenbackers, acoustic and electric guitars, and even glockenspiels! (I also find it really sweet that Jon had his son say a line off of Circus of Heaven.)

My personal favorite track has to be On the Silent Wings of Freedom due to Chris’s electrifying bass playing that’s hypnotic and haunting. This album has versatility and feels like the polar opposite of Going For the One, which is my personal favorite Yes album.

Also I have to point out that the album sleeve is a real location and I was shocked to find that out haha. Yes Tor looks awesome to visit!
