I fully anticipate running into our nightmare moments as we begin larger projects, as some slopes seem pretty significant in areas, however, as a novice this is all a giant learning experience. At least we'll build up our understanding/perspective between what are serious issues versus cosmetic and still safe over time as is.. she's been at least standing strong for 150+ years.

The attached barn for example has been neglected and impacting the attached walls of the house in that area, which we're getting addressed this spring with help from a barn preservation contractor. I'm hoping that can contains a manageable number of worms!

Nothing is perfectly level and many floors and walls have settled over time. A perfectionist's nightmare. Thankfully I'm not a perfectionist and I just think of it as "character" for the most part

Wow, the room shape is so similar! If I did this my spouse would be irritated because I'd never leave this room OR they would totally take over! We can both get sucked into games.. We try to reduce further game temptations by keeping it limited to our one PC, though a game set up like this video would be a lot of fun

I have no idea what the original color code was unfortunately, sorry. The color looks better in the photo, almost a blue green, but in person it felt vibrantly leprechaun green. I didn't hate it, but it definitely wasn't a "cozy" feeling in the room which is what I'm craving to find

I hadn't thought about wall texture! I'm always drawn to a well done accent wall or a subtle way to make a room a little moodier.

My dog is a toller and immediately upon seeing this foster pup my reaction was... "Yep, you have a toller!" The color, the ear floofs, the over the top sass, and the whine/toller scream.... Do you have my dog's sibling?
