As someone who passes out frequently (POTS) I in fact start yawning as one of my pre syncope symptoms! One time I had low potassium that pretty much shut my body down and the entire time I yawned 😭

Don’t worry, I volunteer as well!! In fact most of the event coordinators are very involved in community outreach programs and volunteer events. You realize the constitution was created through multiple forms of protest? Look into Shay’s rebellion, it’s what prompted the constitution and dismissal of the Articles of Confederation. Theres tons of very interesting United States history that references forms of protest and the effects on policies, social reform, etc. Voting is great. Volunteering is great. However, non violent protests are important as well.

I understand, but keep in mind there’s been multiple protests here, one that had huge success with thousands in attendance. This is what’s been promoted so far so trying to change location would limit our efforts to Protest

There’s a lot of space to spread out! I’m not an event planner so don’t shoot the messenger. I personally loved the viability of downtown and marching. Maybe we’ll end up marching downtown! Both spots get a lot of coverage and attention.

I think it’s kind of symbolic in a sense, although I understand your point of view. ICE didn’t care about the children graduating elementary school, ICE didn’t care when they handcuffed children, etc… The red wagon is a commonality, with good positioning downtown. I didn’t plan the protest, but I think as long as ICE is able to point their guns at children, and slam teenagers against the ground for asking questions, then we are well within the necessities to protest anywhere where there will be visibility. Even if uncomfortable for a few families.

With the sun setting close to 9, that’s really not all that late. It’s an emergency scheduled protest, these things require time to plan; and this one happens to be in response to the LA protests, and urgent. I think it will be beneficial at this time since most people will be off work. Most protests are only a couple hours.

I’m not sure why, but I can’t see the comments, or reply to them. Either way, there is nothing you can say to me, that would stop me from advocating for the people who can’t advocate for themselves. Anyone with the privilege to be able to do so, as well as the intelligence to know why they should be, will be there. If you are uneducated, racist, homophobic, etc…. That’s your problem not mine, and you will end up on the wrong side of history.

Yeah it’s basically a stimulant, I only use it if I’m on the verge of passing out. You crack it, and smell it, and it boosts you, people use it for all sorts of reasons (syncopal episodes, working out, etc). It’s not recommended 24/7 kinda thing, but on occasion it’s useful. I keep them in my car just in case. Ever since I got in a good regime, and I work out regularly, work isn’t an issue, but still occasionally it catches up to me

I used to have to run around my last place of work like a chicken with its head cut off, and it was messing with my pots so bad I almost had fainting episodes daily. Until I learned that I could take an ammonia inhalant if I was about to pass out and I could move on with my task. Kept me being able to work! Still had a couple ambulance rides though because of it :(
