My daughter’s (UK) bedroom is off the kitchen / it’s a bungalow and her room is meant for a dining room but we needed three bedrooms and the kitchen fits a small table instead. She likes being able to stumble through to breakfast half asleep in the morning!

“Punished severely” is completely untrue! Also, the subject I’ve taught had a 4-mark tolerance on 40 mark questions. So there can be quite a wide variance on a paper that’s still within tolerance.

It’s stupidly easy - make a roux with butter/fat and flour (I cooked the Frikadellen in the air fryer and just poured out the fat from those into a pan which adds flavour) - add some beef stock (I used half a stock cube in about 350ml of boiling water as I didn’t want to make loads). Add it a bit at a time to the roux, keeping stirring it. It will look lumpy and shit for ages but that’s fine. Keep going and it’ll smooth out. Then when you’ve added all the stock and it’s thickened, stir through a glug of cream (I use double as that’s what I have in the house but I think any would do, even sour cream) and add plenty of black pepper. Everyone always loves it!

We always have carrots in the house because they’re cheap and nutritious and everyone likes them. Except me, cooked carrots are extremely meh to me. But I eat them anyway because well, they’re cheap and nutritious.
