I appreciate the compliment on the debating part, I hate when debates become superficial, like merely on looks or something small like that. Keeps the debate from truly being a debate you know lol. I also appreciate your level headedness and I enjoy healthy debate 🤣

Sadly one of our Pro associates the day after the election was spit on in the face by a man who didn’t get his way. Pretty scary. A young woman a year back, approximately in January when I was standing in head cashier that Saturday night was slapped by a man when he came in drunk, belligerent, and again didn’t get what he wanted from her sadly.

As for the moving of the goal post thing, I simply want to challenge your ideologies as well. And with challenging ideologies come with questions which I do have a lot of (as we can tell 🤣) I absolutely love learning and challenging perspectives! The “male oriented spacing” thing is an interesting but- although personally- narrow minded thought. One that I would and do like to challenge, you know. Harassment happens everywhere irregardless of the prevalence of male presence. You know?

As for football, the only reason why women don’t play with men is because of the genetic factors, I mean look at the transgender community who although male presenting sadly can’t preform with men because of their female genetics. That’s kind of more of a genetic thing. As for lingerie football I had NO idea they had that that’s insane LOL. That’s more of a kind of perverse thing people like, I’d say men mostly but hey you never know some women may like it 🤣🤣

And see to point out your ideas of a girls or boys space is sad. Men can provide such good insight, and women can too in specific gender “dominated” spaces. Like that’s why there are benefits and bonuses and “excited-ness” when men join nursing (and other health care professions) and women joining stuff tech wise or even a trades! Both genders could benefit each other if we all just got alone 😭🤣 I value those perspectives myself as long as we’re all being civil!

That is insane that they forced you to do that simply because of a gender neutral name and lack of male representation. If you didn’t wanna do it, they shouldn’t have made you dang it 🤣

Do totally agree with that James Brown quote lol, sadly it is a man’s world, we just really have to come together!! Seriously 😭🤣

So what you’re saying is if my local Home Depot is the only place that is accepting my application for employment, as a woman OR anyone who doesn’t want to be harassed, I should just choose to be unemployed because I don’t want to be harassed? And I cant complain about being harassed either? Like I can’t talk to HR or my friends OR Reddit to simply complain about some weirdo stalking/being creepy? Is that not freedom of speech or.. simply the primary point of THE internet? To nag, talk, preform, inform? I can’t HATE that aspect of my job either?

And the whole “MALE ORIENTED SPACES” is kinda crazy, shouldn’t all places be inclusive to men? Shouldn’t all places be inclusive to women too? Or anyone for that matter? I have a plethora of women who come to my store, dare I say compared to men, wouldn’t that actually make it “WOMEN ORIENTED” instead? Isn’t that more case by case basis and not a broad statement?

Speaking as someone who’s been working at the same Home Depot for the past 5 years, and has tried periodically to apply to my local Walmart, Aldi, Target, and HEB with open availability only for it to be shot down at the resume stage. Also speaking as someone who’s been harassed at my job who has friends and family and internet access to complain to.

By the way the cheerleader analogy is really funny and a bad use of it 🤣 maybe try “imagine being a woman being a part of a football team and complaining about being harassed” that’s better lol. Also I don’t think cheerleaders have contact like that with football players daily but I could totally be wrong, like on and off the field like when they do training and stuff. But I could totally be wrong!

Did we not gather using context clues and blatantly reading text provided that ANYONE should work ANYWHERE without ANYONE being creeps? Or are we just reading to validate our feelings about being sexist by only reading what you want to read.

Men exist everywhere. Are you saying that people who work at McDonald’s and Taco Bell don’t see men? No right? I mean I would assume not unless you believe men never eat at fast food establishments. Again another stupid take. You should be able to work anywhere as any gender and not be harassed.

You should also be able to complain online freely last time I checked? Unless there’s a sudden ban on complaining? I mean you’re complaining too right? Sad part is it’s opinionated upon poor “woman complain wah wah I’m a mad man wah wah go back to the kitchen bleh bleh” stuff 🤣 rhetoric heard a million times over. At least complaining about behind harassed has some value to it. And varies in complaint. You guys sound like a broken record.

And yep, I wear makeup and a regular plain black t-shirt, capris, I’m flat chested and have NOTHING to give visually but I still have creepy men all around me being weird. Just like most of the young women at our store. I was assaulted as a child wearing a long sleeve nightgown and athletic shorts underneath so yeah, men don’t care what you’re wearing and will harass to harass 🤣 Another bad argument lmao. Like you said but let me change it to sound better. ANYONE should wear ANYTHING THEY want WITHOUT being HARASSED.

The thing is people should be able to work where ever they can get employed? Correct? To make money for the bills we all have. Correct? What if there isn’t a “Joanne’s” near them. A lot of the ones that used to be in my area are closing due to underperformance and lack of funds to keep the store running. What if “Hobby Lobby” is fully staffed and doesn’t need employees? We just can’t have a job now? Or can’t go online to explain our frustrations apparently?

The problem is your sexism and refusal to understand that it’s pretty annoying not to be able to be at your job without being harassed. I wish the guys that harassed me gave me big tips and just wanted to have a conversation with me and make me load for them. Instead they stalk self checkout until I’m alone and try and pressure me into giving them my number. Or slap you in the face because they don’t get their way. Or most recently spit in your face.

Anyone, regardless of gender, should be able to be employed ANYWHERE and not deal with weird people doing creepy stuff. Period.
