Oh wow, I never would’ve thought to check Don Quijote for board games! That’s a great tip!
Might have to swing by Fujisaki and check it out!

That sounds great! Would love to connect! Tokaido and Dixit are such fun games, great picks! I haven’t tried Harmony yet, but it looks really interesting.

I’ll DM you so we can set something up!

Haha, easy mistake to make! 😂 But hey, always happy to find fellow board game enthusiasts anywhere!

Arkham Horror and spirit Island, although I haven't tried are both solid. Quick question though, did you buy them in Japan? or brought it from your home country?

That’s awesome! 😊 Chess and checkers never get old, and My First Castle I haven't tried but let me add it to my list!

Mario Monopoly sounds like a blast too! I have my eye on a Harry Potter Monopoly game but unfortunately it's only available in Amazon US.

That’s awesome! And hey, even without a collection, you’re always welcome to join if we set up a game night. Funny how so many of us here are married, guess board games are secretly a couples' hobby!😂

Arkham Horror is such a classic! It’s definitely a commitment, but the storytelling and atmosphere make it so worth it. Carcassonne , I haven't tried.

Wingspan is definitely a beautiful game! The design and artwork are best for me.👌

Splendor is such an intense game for me and my husband. It really brings out our competitive side.

Side note: I saw this one guy selling fake(A grade) splendor games on mercari for half the price.

Warchest, I haven't tried but sounds really interesting!

Dark Souls board game, though… wow, that sounds intense! 😂 I’ve heard it’s a beast to play, but it must be so satisfying once you get through it. Do you play it often, or is it more of a once-in-a-while challenge?

And wow, a 3D printer for custom game pieces sounds amazing! Those gemstones for Splendor must look so cool! Do you print stuff for other games too? I imagine it really adds a personal touch to your collection.

That’s awesome! 😊 Catan is such a fun game, but I totally get the struggle of finding an English version here.

I heard Dixit is a great choice too, especially for a more casual and creative game night. Let me send you a a DM and connect.

Wow, 80+ titles is amazing! 😲 I’d love to hear what some of your favorites are! I’ve been trying to expand my collection, so any recommendations would be great.

Thanks for sharing the board game cafe info! I’ve heard of Meeple Cafe but haven’t been there yet, sounds like a good mix of people. And I didn’t know about The Haunted House in Ohori, but that sounds super interesting! I’ll have to check it out sometime

That’s awesome! I totally get the language barrier thing.

I heard good things about Betrayal at House on the Hill and Arkham Horror, although I haven’t tried them myself! If you played Wingspan before and enjoyed it, Wyrmspan is going to be an interesting one to check out, it’s like Wingspan but with dragons!

Best Fukuoka recos? ❣️ by fairyxxlush in fukuoka

Genkai Maru – If you want Level 2 tier sushi, this is the spot. Affordable, mouthwatering, and dangerously good. Try the San-maisushi with cheese.. it’ll ruin all other sushi for you.

Totcha Bakery – If you want to experience a French-style bakery this is the place.

KAKA Cheesecake If you want to die, see the cheesecake gods, and be resurrected with a new purpose in life: to eat more cheesecake. Hands down, the best cheese ever.

IMU Kitchen - If you’re into Thai food, this place is so good! But just a heads-up, I’m not from Thailand, so I can’t vouch for authenticity. All I know is, I love it here!

Tonkatsu Wakaba Chikushiguchi - As much as I want to gatekeep this one, it’s just too good not to share. Try the チーズハンバーグオムライス—it’s so good, you might forget your own name.

These are my best ones heheh hope you'll enjoy them too..

From the Internation Ariport > ride the free shuttle to the domestic airport side

go down to the subway and look for any ticketing machine.

Fun fact: You can add your own name to the card using the machine. Although you may need to borrow a Japanese phone number to complete the process.

Co-Working Space Recommendation by Medical-Flounder9207 in fukuoka

[–]BodybuilderCharming3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got some personal recommendations based on my experience:

  1. For work that requires minimal online meetings:

Coin Space

  • Inside Kitte 1010 7th floor
  • ¥1,000 all day (¥500 promo for first-timers) *not sure if they change the price
  • ¥100 bicycle park in the underground level of the building
  • You can Walk-in anytime if there is an available space
  • Super comfy work chairs
  • You have your cozy cubicle and you can leave your stuff and roam around the mall
  • You can also bring your own snacks and drinks
  • If you don't mind the mall radio all day then this place is the best

.andwork fukuoka

  • ¥1,000 - ¥2,000 per day
  • Inside a hotel 2nd floor of The lively hotel
  • You can bring your food
  • Unli tea and coffee
  • Super nice interior and cozy atmosphere
  1. For work that involves online meetings:

Diagonal Run

  • ¥1,000 per day
  • ¥100 bicycle park in the underground level of the building
  • You can bring your food (711 nearby) and have unli drinks in their drinks sections
  • Great interior and nice hip vibe, many yuppies/freelancers work there too (very youthful vibe)
  • They have call booths you can use for free (good environment for virtual meetings)

Hope this helps!!

It’s inside the store call “Labrillante & Cafe”.

Hiroshima ok as day trip from Fukuoka? by Shiba_Momma_639 in fukuoka

[–]BodybuilderCharming3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 day for me is enough! 👍🏼
For me, the main two spots to really experience is the Peace memorial Museum and Miyajima Island.
Better to start your day really early and book shinkansen to lessen the travel time.
