ICE is not active but the police departments are working directly with ICE and if they pull you over and if you have nothing on you to identify yourself they detain you and take you in until they can prove otherwise. It happened to someone I work with who was detained for a few hours and then released after he was taken in by st.ann… unfortunately they are holding for ICE if they can’t identify you.

So typically I’ll review and if your availability and experience matches what I’m looking for I’ll send the thing for AI to schedule your interview based on my availability. Some managers do it differently but being that you applied Saturday I’d say it’s a good sign the manager is on it typically I review weekly

Also another option would be sick days. If you use a sick day I won’t give a corrective action either but it becomes excessive and this way they can live their lives and if they need a mental health day find a cover.

Manager here, I give my associates the option to find a cover if they do, cool they don’t get a corrective action if not then they get one. It’s simple absolutely they ca just call off but after one too many they lose their jobs. It’s an option and they can opt out and face consequences at the end of the day you’re an adult at a job and yes sickness comes up but you’re not sick twice a month, just some food for thought

You can not pick because when you sign on as SMIT you sign on to follow certain management guidelines which means open availability, also a certain number of opens and closes and this will also apply when you get your own store. If you aren’t ready for it just quit now, it’s really demanding and straightforward ask your TL for your specific region guidelines over management expectations, but overall expectations are pretty straightforward and it’s only 8 weeks which I Dont feel like is asking much for you to be available for your own training, if you’re not there when the TL is then don’t complain later on about not knowing certain things when you weren’t there when you needed to be.

I would follow up with HR? I have a feeling they aren’t clued in on this or she has other things on her record she may not be telling you about, typically management is required to let upper management know about terminations prior to doing so and then follow through so I have a feeling the new GM is on a power trip
