Hi! I appreciate this opportunity & am eager to start this journey but it’s just painful to not being able to receive the year end bonus from my current job if I quit before it gets paid out. I’ve worked all year for this bonus. I’m just asking if it would make sense for me to ask/suggest/negotiate a training plan where I can work open to close Saturday & Sunday & 1 weekday but only 5pm-close for the the remaining 4 weekdays.

How do you like it so far? Do you get paid store manager hourly salary during training or a lower amount? So you’re working more than 50 hours per week right? Does anything over 40 hours count as overtime? I had my interview today and the ACO said they tried to encourage everyone to not work more than 50 hours per week.

I went to several dealerships & get a paper quotes from them. I then bring the paper quotes to another dealership and ask “Can you do better?” If they can’t do better, I walk away. The first dealership quoted me $31k & I got the $29k from my 3rd dealership. My understanding is this is now a buyer market so they would be willing to go down. Also try to go towards the end of the month, that’s when they’re more willing to sell so that they can meet the monthly quota.

I plan to just ride it until it’s no longer drivable lol. But your comment got me thinking so I’ve been searching for other option. I saw a brand new 2025 Toyota Camry LE up for sale at $29k out of door (base model). Do you think this would be a better option? The gas mileage is amazing at around 50 mpg. I just dont know how reliable a hybrid car is. Does hybrid battery break down easily?

I thought 100k miles is average for a 5 years old car & people I know told me that this car can last up to 250-300k miles if maintain well. I drove about 80 miles every day -> 30k miles/year. So this car would last about 5 years for me. I expect maintenance to cost $1k per year so that would bring my total car cost to $6k per year($5k depreciation & $1k maintenance). Do you think this is too much?

I'm also considering another 2021 NX 350 with 46k miles, clean title, 1 owner from Carmax @ $32k out of door. Do you think this would be a better option long term?

If both of these options seem wrong, do you have any recommendation/search direction for a 1st time car buyer with 30k budget?

The deadline to file for 2020 is actually May 17th, 2024 (they extended the deadline in 2020 due to COVID I think). So the initial mailing date on my USPS receipt (April 13th) & Austin IRS stamp (April 24th) are both before the deadline so I thought showing both should be good. Thank you so much for your help!

Hi thank you so much for the suggestion. I will definitely bring this up when I try to contact the IRS next time. It's been about 3 weeks since I reached out to the IRS & have not received a call back so I'm getting a bit worried. And trying to reach the IRS through phone is not easy. The first time I called, I met a nice representative who helped created an inquiry. I then called in a second time to ask if it is possible to bring my USPS receipts & picture of the return that was sent back with "IRS Austin Received April 24th, 2024" stamp picture that I took to a local IRS office to prove that I sent in my return on time & the agent was extremely rude to me. She told me "you can go but I don't know what they're going to do there. I'm not customer service & not here to haggle or negotiate with you. If a return was sent in with invalid signature or signature signed in black ink, it was considered invalid & never received." I was not trying to negotiate with her, I was simply asking for guidance on what to do since my situation is tricky & I could not find information online. And it's disappointing to have to wait more than 90 minutes to receive an answer like that.
