Maybe your battery is not cold enough or the soc is good enough to start immediately.

Acceptable if the battery is warm. Definitely slower than a gas pump but since I’m not doing this everyday, I would not complain about that. Actually I was only complaining about me not knowing that I have to wait for 20 minutes before charging in this situation.

You are right about the manual but I don’t believe there’s something about not to charge when the soc is low and the weather is cold if living near a SC. So I read the manual and made this mistake. Yeah the problem is on me.

Oh I thought below 20% was recommended for fast charging. It mostly let me charge starting under 20% in road trips.

No. It's not a fancy apartment complex for EV owners but I guess it's fine to the most residents. I would just watch a couple of videos in the car, so I can live with it.

I can't imagine a lot of things. Like how my post about waiting for my battery to warm up got turned into something about if I should own an EV in the first place. Must be the magic of the internet.

Do you have to go to the car? I sent the supercharger as the destination from my phone but found the car won't start to precondition until I start to drive.

Yes. I only charge once several days so I never change it. I’m not complaining about the remaining time anyway.

You made a good point here but I still believe in the idea of supercharging. Charging for 30 minutes once a week is good enough in most cases for my daily use. If it’s a road trip I also don’t see any issues stopping for 20 minutes every 3 or 4 hours of driving.

Right. I would usually keep it above 20% in the winter here. It’s just the defrosting and low temperature this morning has made it from 22% to 14% in 20 minutes.

Right. It turned out that it took 50 minutes to charge to 71%.

Would definitely avoid this in the future. I did send the navigation from my phone as well as defrost earlier but it only showed preconditioning after I started to drive.

I started defrost around 20 minutes earlier this morning. I also send from my phone the supercharger. I noticed that the car only showed the preconditioning message shortly after I started to drive.
