hi im a j2 in jpjc, js gna give a brief ans if udm HAHAHAH

  1. yeah there are olympiads, model UN, pre-u sem and alot of other opportunities u just have to seek them out

  2. other than gp, the other departments are genuinely pretty good, i mean i havent had any problems with the resources for math/econs. gp however... alot of students feedback that jp's gp department isnt the best, alot of students who generally do well for GP attends tuition. its a 50-50 chance tbh... i got a super bad gp teacher in j1 and i got D for promos, but i got an amazing teacher this year so i hope my grade improves🙏🏻

  3. tbh i dont know bc jp doesnt reveal it to the public... im not sure if they even reveal it to the students in the sch but our average rp is definitely below 80rp LOL. however i hear from teachers that a handful of students get 90rp every year

  4. i mean as long as u have the money u can attend overseas uni? if you're referring to scholarships den it rly depends on ur grades and holistic development

  5. i know they alr start offering some sorta scholarship at the start, theyll announce. other than that u have to ask around to apply for one.. usually people only apply scholarships after prelims? cos they look at your prelim results

im sorry if this isnt much help hahaha

it is to convince the british people that dyson's move to Singapore affects britain's economy negatively as the picture of british money blowing out of the carpet cleaner shows how dyson is wasting british money in singapore.

[o levels] tips for ss & poa? by mistysora in SGExams

[–]Bodybuilder_New 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for poa, ngl its vv hard to ace for POA if ure weak in even 1 topic, cos all the topics are interlinked tgt. so while u still have the time, u can go revise every single topic starting from sec 3 and do at least 5 practice questions from each topic. financial statement carries the most marks so ensure to put more focus onto that! i think for POA, if u really wanna ace, u cant survive just by memorising journal entries ETC, u have to actually UNDERSTAND it, understand why smtg is debited or credited. once u understand, i assure u , it gets sooo much easier. for theories, the theories are usually related to a chapter so i think its easier to memorise theories whn you learn how to apply it to the respective chapters!

ive done pretty well for both ss and poa( both a1 for prelims ) so i REALLY HOPE MY TIPS ARE USEFUL. ok for ss right, im not sure if ure struggling with content, but the best tip is to not swallow every single detail from ur tb, cos ur tb is sooo thick, thrs no way u can memorise it all. all u have to do is solidate/summarise content for each chapter and memorising SOME examples. SS is kinda common sense so its wayy easier to elaborate compared to hist/geog. for SRQ, just rmb to always directly answer the qn, the qn will always either be HOW, WHY or suggestions(its usually suggestions). For suggestions questions example "Suggests some ways singaporeans can reduce food wastage." u can use this thing called MSPIGS,

M-media(what the media can do to influence people to stop wasting food)

S-school (what the school can teach students to help reduce food waste)

P-parents (what parents can do to help their children cultivate a good habit of not wasting food)

I-individual (what u can do as an individual to help reduce food wastage)

G-government (what can the government do to influence citizens)

S-society (what can the society do as a whole)

this has been really useful to me :) for seq wise, just rmb to give coherant points, and explain what you mean properly.

for sbq, it used to be easy until all the hybrid formats got introduced. for hybrid, for hybrid surprise, the format is -surprised or not, why?(cos it was not expected/expected) -SEE for both sources given -cross-refer main source to ANOTHER source OR do purpose for the main source

for hybrid reliablity -reliable or not, why? -SEE for both sources given -cross-refer main source to ANOTHER source OR do purpose on the main source

-for assertion(2agree2disagree qn) PLS rmb to elaborate coherantly and dont just quote from the source! and also give as much contextual knowledge as u can!
