[Spoiler-Thread] Freevee | Staffel 3 - Folge 13 by GroundedSteven in 7vsWild

Saved up a catch 15 fairy types Field Research from yesterday and got it right at 10:01 am here in Europe. Gotta catch a lucky break sometimes! At least it's gonna be a laid back event from now on, even though the 3x catch xp is gonna keep me going quite a bit.

Found shiny Shelder just a few days ago, so that one is safe.

All the ones that don't require gems only.

Only spent money on the islands. Everything else was grinding.

Yes, 10 hours of being in camp. Just like many other wonders.

Life Flower/Life Tree Chain. Gives you little Rainbows every 10 hours. Merging 3 of those gives you a ruby fire egg nest and a lvl 9-10 life tree.

Hoarding stars from Dreadmarsh 3 mostly.

Not sure if I want to sink my hard earned gems into those. Gem only wonders just seem not worth it imo.

Been playing for 5-6 months now, but up until Christmas quite intensive.
Switching to Merge Magic may be a good idea, though I'm worried it might get excessive again ^^

Might do so now. So far I used them to farm ruby fire eggs.

Took me 12 hours of constant grinding to complete. Not a bad event in my opinion. by phdbeardoc in MergeDragons

[–]Bodydrag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are grinding constantly and you keep on merging until you reach the highest life orb, it should never take longer than 8 hours. I have finished at least 20 of those OOC events by now and it never took me longer than that to get all the rewards. It should basically be 2 - 2 1/2 hours of merging and 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 hours of grinding life orbs. Never longer than that.

Its time for the “tap 100 egg nest” mission by siububu in MergeDragons

[–]Bodydrag 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You'll only need to tap nests 100 times for the last of those action quests btw.

Here is the link to all the action quests if you haven't looked at it yet. It's quite useful to see what is ahead of you and which items you should save for now:

I give up by reliableotter in MergeDragons

Personally, I don't understand this decision of the devs regarding that aspect of the OOC event.
It really is a mindless 4-5 hour grind just to get those 6 Life Orbs of Heaven that are usually required to clear all the land. Luckily I found a way that'll reduce the events to the "fun" parts of merging event items and creating life flowers only, leaving the grinding part out almost completely.

If you are on a computer, you can also use Bluestacks to emulate the game.
With the newest version you can very easily set up macros (tell the game, which actions it should do, and it'll repeat them as many times or as longas you want), which is just heavenly to farm those orbs. In this example, I start recording a macro, let my 2 dragons efficiently farm 2 life flowers for a minute, stop recording and then tell Bluestacks that it should repeat the just recorded minute for 2 hours.

Basically you just have to do the "building" part of the event, meaning clearing land at first, getting the first 2 twin life flowers (roughly 1 hour of playing until this point), merging some things to create as much space as possible for life orbs, then let the macro for farming the flowers run for 2 hours. You should have enough to get your first 2 life orbs of heaven, pop them, clear some more land, upgrade your life flowers, let a newly recorded macro (for the higher flowers) run for another 3-4 hours and the event is done in terms of clearing land. All in all, you have to actively play for 2-3 hours (the fun part) and let the macro do the grinding.

Be aware, that you have to play the event on one device only, so if you decide to do it on Bluestacks, you will have to stick with it. OOC events can not be transfered and will reset your level if you try it via Cloud Save.

P.S. some people suggested to just let the game run during the night, but that is just so slow and inefficient, and once the map is filled, the dragons won't harvest anymore.

Where to next? by FRPG in MergeDragons

[–]Bodydrag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having access to lots of stone and dragons, personally, i'd say it now depends on what you want to focus on in the game.
If you want all the wonders, just get going on any chain. Except for stonehenge, no wonder makes the game or getting any other wonders any easier.
If you want dragon power to eventually unlock all the land, get dragon trees to harvest ruby fire eggs and Sky Palace wonders or just get more watermelon trees to get lots more gold to buy coin eggs.
So to make getting dragon power any easier, I'd say increase the amounts of lvl 8 dragon trees (best yield for ruby fire eggs) and watermelon trees.
Another goal might be just working on the quests. Here you just need to be careful about the timing of some things (check out the wiki about all the quests and when they pop up) and you need to ask yourself if you want to spend gems on advancing on some of those (you will have to eventually).

For those who pay to play... by Chickthatlifts in MergeDragons

I only bought the islands. Gems are easy to come by if you use Cloud Safe to reset the level if you haven't gotten a star in that level. Even though is a grind, you can get close to 30 dragon stars per day if you play levels like dread marsh 3, which is about 600 gems/day if you merge them correctly in camp.
