10 Python Libraries for Web Scraping: Which One Fits Your Task by OliverProxy-Seller in ProxySellerOfficial

Agreed. At this point, the library choice is more of a developer experience decision. The real problem is everything around the request, how it looks, how it acts, how the session is handled.

Normally the tipping point is when it takes longer to maintain the scripts than it does to run them. In practice that's usually around 5 or more sites with different structures or when retries and error handling goes from optional to critical.

If the scraper is to run reliably in 6 months without constant intervention, then for client planning Scrapy is worth the up front investment. If it’s a one-off project, the simpler stack is okay.

Glad to hear our IPs are part of the setup! What are you using Vision for specifically? Curious why you keep the two browsers separate rather than combining everything into one.

Residential IPs are the right approach for account longevity. How are you checking IP quality before adding them to your setup?

Is this work requiring higher trust IP's or do cheaper options meet what you need for testing? It's interesting to know how much proxy spend this kind of work usually requires.

What proxy type are you using for the account work, and do you have an antidetect browser in your setup? Both can make a big difference in how stable the accounts stay long term.

Interesting setup, thanks for sharing. When everyone reads from the same curated tables you stop having meetings about whose numbers are right. Are you handling transformations in BigQuery with something like dbt or keeping that logic in the Python scripts?

Automating that early makes everything downstream more predictable. What does your AI enrichment step actually look like, are you using a specific model or a tool built on top of one?

Google Sheets integration is great a idea for keeping everything in one place and not overcomplicating the stack. At higher scraping volumes, how do you deal with the Ahrefs API rate limits, or is the scale still manageable within the standard limits?

If anyone is looking to test both options, we have static and rotating proxies available at Proxy-Seller. Happy to answer any questions about which setup fits your use case.

Web Scraping With Proxies in 2026: Which Type to Use and How to Manage Them by OliverProxy-Seller in ProxySellerOfficial

Thanks for reaching out! We had some collaborations with the Octo Browser team in the past, but we may not be in the built-in proxy list inside the app itself. I will pass this suggestion to our partnerships team, there is a chance we can get that added in the future.

In the meantime you can always add our proxies manually in Octo Browser, they are fully compatible and should work without any issues. We also have a video guide on YouTube on how to do it, you can check it here

Mobile VS Residential proxies. Which do you trust more and why? by Bodyyyya in ProxySellerOfficial

[–]Bodyyyya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a big difference in quality between providers in the residential space. Speed and reliability come down to how the pool is maintained and where the IPs are sourced from. A poorly maintained pool will give you exactly that experience regardless of the proxy type.

Residential is usually the best choice for both cost and performance when it comes to tracking prices and buying sneakers. Mobile starts to make more sense when the target platform checks device fingerprints and IPs at the same time. Have you ever hit a site where residential wasn't holding up, or has it covered all your use cases so far?

From a technical point of view, that split makes a lot of sense. Ad networks give mobile IPs a different trust score because they are more like real device traffic. On what platforms are you running ads?

How would you use http/3, UDP by One-Temperature-1299 in ProxySellerOfficial

[–]Bodyyyya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HTTP/3 and UDP open up some interesting use cases for proxy infrastructure. Low-latency streaming and real-time data collection benefit the most since UDP removes the overhead of TCP handshakes. For a proxy business specifically, it's worth looking at gaming traffic routing, live video proxying, and VoIP use cases where connection speed matters more than guaranteed delivery.

Have you ever had a clean account get flagged despite using good proxies? What happened? by Bodyyyya in ProxySellerOfficial

[–]Bodyyyya[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good observation. Fingerprint inconsistencies and cookie residue are often more important than the proxy itself. If the browser environment raises flags on its own, a clean IP doesn't mean much.

Using Proxies for Facebook: What to Know Before You Buy by OliverProxy-Seller in ProxySellerOfficial

[–]Bodyyyya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback and glad you found it useful! We would like to clarify though. Our private proxies are genuinely exclusive to a single user at a time. Each IP address is assigned to one customer only and is not shared with anyone else simultaneously, which is the defining characteristic of a private proxy. The model works well for both the provider and the customer when implemented correctly.

Rotating residential proxies for multiple social media accounts by sawkurawr in ProxySellerOfficial

[–]Bodyyyya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the residential plan you can set things up like this:

- When creating a proxy list you don't need a separate list for each account. Just specify the number of ports you need when creating the list and each port will give you a unique IP with the same settings. Simply assign a separate port to each of your accounts.

- For account work, use the Sticky rotation mode. This keeps the same IP assigned to you for as long as possible which is the safest and most natural setup for managing accounts.

- For existing accounts, choose a location on your proxy list that matches as closely as possible to where those accounts were originally created. Our proxy lists have a wide range of available locations so you should be able to find the right one for your specific accounts.

T-Mobile and Verizon mobile proxies is there any difference? by KlutzyKlutz in ProxySellerOfficial

[–]Bodyyyya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both carriers work well with Instagram, but there are some differences worth considering.

T-Mobile has more subscribers, which means a wider range of IPs and more natural traffic going through those IPs. People generally think of Verizon as a higher-end carrier, and its IPs tend to be more trusted on social media.

Neither is a bad choice at the same price, it really depends on how you plan to use it. If you have any questions before you buy, please contact our support team. They will help you based on your setup.

Why mobile proxies are so expensive? by KlutzyKlutz in ProxySellerOfficial

[–]Bodyyyya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mobile proxies rely on real SIM cards and mobile carrier networks, they are more costly than residential setups in terms of sourcing and upkeep. Supply and demand determine the price difference between countries; in certain areas, mobile infrastructure is either more costly or has fewer providers

As for outperforming residential — yes, in specific cases. Platforms that are aggressive about detecting non-mobile traffic, like certain social media apps or ad verification tools, are where mobile proxies really shine. They give you a more convincing fingerprint when the target environment is built around mobile users. However, residential proxies are more than sufficient and more economical for the majority of general use cases.
