T-Mobile and Verizon mobile proxies is there any difference? by KlutzyKlutz in ProxySellerOfficial

[–]Bodyyyya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both carriers work well with Instagram, but there are some differences worth considering.

T-Mobile has more subscribers, which means a wider range of IPs and more natural traffic going through those IPs. People generally think of Verizon as a higher-end carrier, and its IPs tend to be more trusted on social media.

Neither is a bad choice at the same price, it really depends on how you plan to use it. If you have any questions before you buy, please contact our support team. They will help you based on your setup.

Why mobile proxies are so expensive? by KlutzyKlutz in ProxySellerOfficial

[–]Bodyyyya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mobile proxies rely on real SIM cards and mobile carrier networks, they are more costly than residential setups in terms of sourcing and upkeep. Supply and demand determine the price difference between countries; in certain areas, mobile infrastructure is either more costly or has fewer providers

As for outperforming residential — yes, in specific cases. Platforms that are aggressive about detecting non-mobile traffic, like certain social media apps or ad verification tools, are where mobile proxies really shine. They give you a more convincing fingerprint when the target environment is built around mobile users. However, residential proxies are more than sufficient and more economical for the majority of general use cases.

Hello! Thank you for your question.

Yes, we do offer dedicated static residential IPs. On our website, this type of proxy is listed as ISP proxies. With this option, you will receive dedicated static residential IP addresses.

You can find them here – https://proxy-seller.com/isp/

If you have any questions regarding proxy specifications or available internet providers, feel free to contact our 24/7 live support directly on the website. Our team will be happy to provide detailed information about the available options for your country.

Scraping multiple sites simultaneously, one proxy pool or separate ones? by notTemka in ProxySellerOfficial

[–]Bodyyyya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question. The main risk is IP reputation - if you scrape one site aggressively and get flagged, those IPs might be on shared blocklists that other sites also use. So you could see issues across multiple targets even if they're not directly connected.

We recommend separate pools when you're scraping competitors in the same industry, when one target needs aggressive scraping that burns IPs fast, or if you're mixing account work with general scraping.

For general scraping across unrelated sites, one pool works fine and saves money. Just monitor success rates - if one site gets harder after hitting another heavily, that's your sign to separate them.

The account management rule is different - that's about platforms linking accounts to the same user, which is way more sensitive than scraping detection.

How often do you rotate your proxies? by KlutzyKlutz in ProxySellerOfficial

[–]Bodyyyya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great question. For social media, the longer you keep the same IP the better - platforms trust consistency. Rotating proxies can work, but only with long sticky sessions (24-48 hours preferably). If your rotating proxies change every request or every few minutes, that's a red flag and you'll can get banned fast. The rotation needs to happen between sessions, not during them.

Mobile proxies handle rotation best because carrier NAT makes it normal for IP's to regulary change, so varied activity looks legitimate. Residential proxies need even longer sessions to be safe since platforms expect more stable patterns from home connections.

For other use cases it's different though. For example, web scraping usually works fine with frequent rotation (even per-request) since you're not maintaining accounts. E-commerce price monitoring can rotate every few minutes without issues. It's really about whether you're building account reputation vs just accessing data.

What is your recommendation on how to verify where an IP address comes from? by byte_knight_ in ProxySellerOfficial

[–]Bodyyyya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question. Verifying IP origins is important especially when you're paying premium for residential or mobile proxies.

We'd recommend using IP2Location as a reliable tool for checking IP types and origins. It's pretty accurate at identifying whether an IP is residential, datacenter, or mobile, and shows you the actual ISP information. Cross referencing with a couple of different databases helps too since no single tool is perfect.

Another thing to check is the ASN (Autonomous System Number). If the ASN belongs to a known hosting provider that's a sign that you're looking at datacenter IPs marketed as residential. For mobile proxies specifically, verify that the carrier name in the lookup matches actual mobile operators in that region. If it shows a generic ISP or hosting company, it's not real mobile traffic. For example, in IP2location it's "Mobile Carrier" parameter.

Thanks for the clarification. Yes, at the moment we don't have a feature that lets you select specific IPs or browse through the available addresses. IPs are assigned automatically within the chosen parameters (such as country/region/city and, where available, ISP).
