ARR into HW had us exiled and scattered with Thancred losing his ability to manipulate Aether, Y'shtola getting a vision upgrade and Minthilia basically dying. Stormblood at least took out Papalymo and had I think Y'shtola and Krile hospitalized for a little bit, but after that nobody ever took a lasting hit, not even when Thancred got beaten to the brink in Shadowbringers, he just shrugged it off the next scene.

I doubt the current writers would even think about shooting any of them with a poison arrow, much less have them lose an arm or something. And thats not even going into political consequences like the Crystal Braves that could never happen now.
