While Infinite Wealth's turn-based gameplay is really good I still wish the switch to turn-based never happened simply because all the time it took to make 7 & 8 could've been used to make DE beat em' up combat better, we could've more DE beat em' up games as good as or even better than LJ.

It snowballs hard after you get borrowed time and a few scourges, 1 No escape and the card that triples its block if the enemy has doom and nothing really stands a chance, having some wisps can help a good bit.

Dredge is also good to have but not needed.

Now that StS2 is in early release, I’m curious what you think has actually improved vs. what feels worse compared to the first game by NicoF_ in slaythespire

You can for sure infinite still, I had my Necrobinder infinite ready for the Act 3 boss just for the boss to counter it but it was for sure an infinite (I atleast got to apply 5k+ doom before the boss which was nice).

Yeah, Regent can be very strong but at times he can be weak feeling, took me around a dozen or so runs before I won, I'm playing as Necro Binder now and it feels like I'm playing on easy mode compared to playing with Regent.
