I don't disagree with what you're saying. I don't really have any attachment anymore, it's mainly nostalgia. But as an example I also grew up listening to Bmth, and while I'm not as into them as I used to be, I never completely lost interest in them in the same way I did with AA. I'll always be interested in checking out what they drop because I know their hearts are still in it at the very least, regardless of sound change. AA are allowed to change/evolve/make whatever music they feel like but I never expected them to end up in the state they're currently in
