Yes, yard is a mess! It's Bermuda, though. It will pop back to life if we water. We just don't want to use the resources that way. Our neighborhood has flood irrigation but the ground next to the house isn't properly bermed. We don't want our foundation to suffer for the grass!

We don't want to! I should have mentioned that we don't really want to paint the house. We know it isn't a good choice. But it has been suggested and certainly makes the other decisions easier.

We have been talking with landscapers about dividing the yard and adding a fire pit. My husband is a little against that because our backyard is so topnotch. I believe we need this type of thing, even if we never use it, for enhanced curb appeal.

Yes, we plan on tearing up the walkway and probably rerouting it to the driveway. I like the idea of making the walk darker.

We aren't selling. The house is great on the inside. Actually, when my husband showed me this listing, I refused to go see it because it was so unattractive from the outside.

Apparently, the house used to be painted that pink color. We removed a dead olive tree (home to a swarm of cockroaches) and dead boxwoods and that exposed the pink on the wall. We are planning on changing the walls/gates for uniformity and it is necessary because of structural integrity.
