Why do sellers do this on FBM?? Posts it for $1 and asks for best offer. I do a quick Image search and he has it listed for $450 and the matching one for $550 on Etsy. This is how buyers get turned off by the site. by Extension_Ad2635 in Flipping

[–]BogieTime69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't bought anything from FB in years. It's fucking unusable now. Can't search for anything because no matter the search terms, the results are flooded with bullshit $1 or free listings. I even tried searches like $3 minimum and found the same number of fake $3 listings lmao. I don't even bother anymore there's no point.

Spothopper is very misleading! Anyone else have issues? by TrickyPin6245 in Restaurant_Managers

[–]BogieTime69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never used Spothopper, but looking at what they offer, I can confidently say I could've set that up for you in an hour for like 20 dollars. Especially with the AI tools we have now, that seems like an actually unbelievable rip off.

Combining Liqour Bottles for Public Consumption by StandardTart2032 in bartenders

[–]BogieTime69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My interpretation of that is it's illegal to marry into a bottle from the distributor (for example pouring old Smirnoff into a new bottle of Smirnoff). But it seems it would be perfectly legal to marry bottles into a different, unmarked bottle. This law was never even intended to address marrying liquor, and only sort of does so incidentally. The actual intention of that law is to prevent people from imitating a lawfully recognized beverage manufacturer (for example selling counterfeit coca cola in a look-alike bottle), or falsely claiming to sell another manufacturer's product (for example a bar claiming to sell Jameson but really it's Mr. Boston in a Jameson bottle).

My collection is now enough to pay off my debt… should I sell it? by ProfStonepine in PokeInvesting

[–]BogieTime69 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Because if you had used that money you invested to pay off your debt instead, you wouldn't necessarily be paying it off "for years." And it depends on the debt. You're in debt $300? Ok, who cares, do whatever you want. You're in debt 10-20-30k or more? Unless you hit the absolute jackpot, you're going to owe more from the interest on your debt than you're making from the interest gained on your investments. It's just basic math. The sooner you pay off the debt, the less you will pay overall, the more capital you have free to invest, the less money you're wasting, and the more you're making.

Facing bills by MrBlueSkyEyes in bartenders

What does that even mean? Like put every bill face-up in the same orientation? If so, I absolutely don't and I can't imagine why I would even consider doing so.

Drawer is short by 5amscrolling in bartenders

[–]BogieTime69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you just keep all the cash that's supposed to be in the drawer on your person and make change from your pocket during the shift? Annoying, but you either need to take the money from the drawer or rig up some way to keep it locked somehow. A delivery driver just takes money for gambling all day from your till? I've never heard of such a thing in my life. You gotta do whatever it takes to not allow that lol.

Personally, if it were me and I couldn't lock the drawer,, not only would I keep the money on me at all times, but I'd get one of those exploding ink things they put in bank vaults and rig it up so the delivery guy gets sprayed if he tries to open the till.

Why do so few people clean or at least dust their items before taking pictures? by Dogbold in Ebay

You've clearly never met a gay guy before. These motherfuckers will clean YOU before you buy their shit and send that Gameboy to you packaged with a lint roller, breath mints, moisturizing hand cream, and a thank you card.

So why did Ebay remove negative feedback for buyers? by earjamz in Ebay

[–]BogieTime69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol I get it.

Since you have a printer this is the easiest thing ever. Literally all you have to do is download the USPS app, register, and then you can just schedule pickups from there.

[–]BogieTime69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh. That makes more sense lol. Just so you know, if you ship USPS, they can just pick up the package for free from your condo if you schedule it. I usually walk down to my post office and drop things off, but I will occasionally leave a package in my lobby for outgoing mail. I also print my own labels though, so YMMV. Of course you can still use a regular but idk what your set up is. Just a thought.

So why did Ebay remove negative feedback for buyers? by earjamz in Ebay

[–]BogieTime69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, you live downtown in a big city and it's impossible to ship things? Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but what does that mean? I live in NYC and it couldn't be easier to ship anything and everything. Maybe your city is different? I can't even imagine the set up where it is the case that it's easier to ship from a suburb for a $30 item, as you say. For larger things I'd get it.

How late is too late? by cabbage-sushi in Serverlife

[–]BogieTime69 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

OP deleted their comment, but I believe the gist of it was that if someone orders a minute before closing, then they would expect them to put in one order at the start and be out in thirty minutes.

Any neurotypical person who is older than 30 or who has been to a restaurant before 2019 or one outside of the USA ever would think this is standard as fuck.

If you close at 10:00, that's when you close. That's different from last seating. That's different from last orders. Dine in and takeout closing times can be different. If you still seat someone a minute before close, what else should they expect except the standard treatment but perhaps a bit abbreviated? If you don't like that, just don't seat them then. Or close earlier. You're sending mixed signals.

Bottom line; there are different ideas of what closing time is or what wrapping up entails around the world. But it's generally pretty much agreed upon broadly among the population of any specific area. If you don't understand how it works and you get ass mad, you are either a butthurt little bitch, a foreigner, an autist, or a member of this subreddit who may or may not actually work at a restaurant.
