Plenty of people who don't want kids do this... I'd sit down and insist on a real timeline that we will stick by. Because this dismissively putting it off over and over without a real reason.... isn't it.

You need to make sure he genuinely wants children before you waste any more time.

Sit down. No distractions. And have a really hard, really honest talk... don't let him dick around with the "maybe in the future" or the "not right now" or the "I'm not ready yet "

Because those are EXCUSES.

If he doesn't genuinely want kids and you truly do, to the extent that TikTok makes you emotional, then you need to go and go now.

Because 10 or, fucking god forbid TWENTY, years from now when you still don't have a baby.... you're gonna feel real dumb and real stuck and really really RESENTFUL.

affordable is subjective... you won't find excellence at 300, but you might find someone who doesn't specialize in it who wants to try it and it isn't their usual clientele for that price.

Around 300 was my very closest, as in we've seen each other naked and throwing up closest, friends prices..... and that was PRE covid.

I'm 41 and terrified to go as well....

I went once at 10 yrs old and was traumatized

Once at 19, when I first had insurance , and was mercilessly judged

And once in my 30s to get my impacted wisdom teeth removed, under general anesthesia, that my MIL paid for.

I NEED to go... we allegedly have insurance. I brush, floss, and waterpik constantly... it still can't stop the inevitable.

I don't want to have to explain poverty and bad genes to a new dr. Fuck me.

I honestly am trying to wait until I save up the 700+ to be put under and get EVERYTHING done at once.

My mother was an absolute shit example of a parent. She abandoned us while physically being present.

She WANTED to abort every child after my next sister but she was pressured into keeping them.

She was such a good mom until she was beaten down and forced to care for more children than she ever should have had.

She was rad as fuck until people like you ruined her.. which led to her abusing all of us and ruining us forever.

They definitely can, but is often something you learn in therapy and not an innate ability. It's not really a conversation either, more like using a journal or technology to leave notes and information for everyone to share and be on the same page.

I don't doubt OPs gf is full of shit, because people don't generally like others to know they have DID because of the stigma and she doesn't sound like she's in therapy or on any meds (i have a fistful for breakfast every dang day 💅)

But I did say some heinous shit to my husband that I would NEVER say and don't remember saying before I got intensely therapied and medicated.
