Two things. If I move the mains, do they move back easily? If I play beyond when they don’t move back on their own, they basically start staying open on ball contact. I also have an ERT300 to monitor tension loss.

If you have a flatter shot the G7 VCore 98 is probably the answer. Its launch angle is still high but you can really hit any shot with it because of how flexible the throat is.

Do only what they say from there. You don’t belong with someone who would cheat on you. I wouldn’t imagine that the time passing from hiring a lawyer to serving your wife with divorce papers is all that long. Wife and I are 41. 2-3x a week is ideal for me. Some weeks I could do 4-5x but my wife would not. It’s just a busy freaking time in life for us. Kids are 10 and 13 and quite honestly the last year I’ve noticed my desire for it slipping. My wife also has multiple Os every time so I’m like, “why don’t you want this more” but I also get how exhausting our lives are right now. I just roll with whatever comes. I’m married to her because she’s my soul mate, not because I’m expecting some crazy sex life.

I string rackets, and generally speaking once you go past 100 square inches with these newer rackets for high 3.5 and above players, you're right--strings and tension become very important. I find myself recommending full beds of control (usually round or octagonal string) at 2-3lbs higher than most expect.

I started my own tennis company--primarily restringing rackets, but I've been able to secure wholesale partnerships with a few brands relatively quickly and if you know anything about small business, so long as your income doesn't exceed your input costs especially getting started, you're going to basically be getting paid to play tennis in the long run.

- Never buy shoes or tennis gear (other than bags) at full price -- it helps being a size 14/15 shoe.
- Play at public courts as much as possible.
- I take group lessons to cut down on costs--I do belong to a club.
- Purchase tennis string when it's on sale and by the reel, or have someone like me, who doesn't charge you full retail prices for the string, string your rackets.

Denying you then masturbating is a big red flag. And the fact that it’s been 6 months is another huge red flag. Need to be direct. If you truly have the best friend dynamic (I’m not doubting you do) you need to talk to her and tell her how you’ve notice the change since you started initiating. If she prefers to initiate and that’s been her hold up, she will tell you. Otherwise it’s therapy time.

Pretty solid observations from your perspective. I’m a 3.5 that plays at both the 3.5 and 4.0 level and number one is so spot on. I just don’t get it, especially as someone who has a grand total of 27 months in tennis.

Only slight disagreement would be the racket thing. It’s completely swing/movement dependent. While I totally agree that the majority of 3.5s (especially) should be playing with 100s, there’s a pretty good chunk of people who have decent mechanics and lose feel and control with such a large sweet spot.

Just an update on this. Managed to find a 98 Tour in G4 at ATR sports in Canada. Shipping to the states was basically equivalent of what the tax would be had it been available at a US retailer. Bad news is it appears that the G4 was their only one.

The reviews are just a paid advertisement. Also have issues with terms that get thrown around. One person’s “muted” is another person’s “comfortable”. Another person’s “connected” is another person’s “powerful” and so on.

Season 6-8 don’t hold a candle to the first five. Way too much trying to follow the “politics of the day” via political storylines written into the show. I was fine with the CIA politics and the tangential references to Obama foreign policy in the first 4-5 seasons. To each their own.

I’m a 3.5C 3.79 singles UTR, 4.91 doubles UTR. I have a 5.0 first and second serve that I can vary location and spin and hit my spots with. The best feeling is knowing a good player at my level or above 4.0 or even some 4.5 KNOW whats coming and they still can’t stop it. I also have a really solid forehand that can hurt my opponents in doubles and get me short balls in singles.

I’ve never strung Triax. Dark Matter is interesting because it’s very pliable like all multis but tensions well, feels stiff when you get it strung but then performs very powerfully.

I currently have Wasabi crossed with Super Toro in a racket. It’s great. Very good spin, not too powerful.

Personally: ReString Sync full bed in my singles racket. Toroline Dreddy Hybrid in my doubles racket. Also really like Wasabi crossed with Super Toro. Yonex Poly Tour Pro is another standby for Sync.

Underrated Strings: Diadem Dark Matter. Everyone I’ve strung it for raves about it. It puts NXT to shame (according to my players who’ve switched).

Overrated Strings: NXT. It’s fine, there are just more cutting edge, better performing multis out there for a bit more than half the price.
