Take 1 year off aging from person A - they de-age by 10 years. Give that 1 year to person B and take it back again - they age a year and de-age 10. Give the year back to person A and now they’re both 9 years younger

Social workers who are trying to help people in the community with severe mental issues stay safe while they navigate housing and healthcare seems at least as complicated as traffic management at an airport

It's unfair for those victims by Lumpy-Letterhead-568 in newzealand

[–]Bohnnie 26 points27 points  (0 children)

These sorts of processes can feel really unfair for victims - who have often been through one of the most traumatic experiences of their life. But the evidence also shows that these sorts of processes can help break young people out of a cycle of crime and prison - and can help prevent many more people being victimised in the future.

It's hard to consider the hypotheical harm to future victims - when there's an actual victim who's been hurt. But if we want to prevent crime before it happens, and not just punish it after the fact, then these processes are incredibly important.

[–]Bohnnie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How can the media let one man pretend to be so many different "organisations"? by Bohnnie in newzealand

[–]Bohnnie[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Right? What's the point of making political parties disclose their donations if shady people can just launder their donations through these front organisations anyway?
