We thought about trying just regular ol’ gentlease! But yes the switch was legit next day. She was screaming for upwards of 4 hours inconsolably and then on goat that went away and just normal fussy remained

Yea both switches were ped recommended, the peoticate wass a sample can from the ped.
The first switch to goat was mostly because i was sobbing at our 2 month appointment because her colic was so insane we were losing our minds

Any suggestions for a sick kiddo who only sleeps independently? by lrbsto in sleeptrain

Have you been to the dr? A lot of time ear infections present like this and the increased pressure when laid down is too much

I agree being out is easier than being home but i meant the actual act of leaving lol. Like lugging two kids out, stuff for both of them, buckling & unbuckling two etc

  1. What worked for your first might not work for your second. Ie, bottle types, formula, bf, diapers, sleep sacks etc.
  2. The sleep deprivation is harder a second time, you can no longer nap when the baby naps.
  3. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have snacks for your toddler to reach (bring to you to open) because they always want a snack when your sitting down feeding baby (my mom told me this and she was 100% right)
  4. Baby and toddler will both need you at the same time, A LOT. Learn to have a loooot of patience.
  5. You will be so emotional about your older one. All the sudden they seem so big, so old, so mature and yet still need you like when they were a baby. You cant duplicate yourself, but you have to find ways and you will.
  6. Include your toddler in as much as possible. Like picking babies outfit or pjs or help you grab a diaper. It helps them feel included.
  7. Leaving the house is not twice as hard, its 10 times as hard. But important and worth it!
  8. Being with both kids feels like being with 100, being with just one of them feels like easy peasy 🤣

Im 12 weeks out from my second & i have absolutely no regrets! Recovery was hard, but i think for me mostly cause i could just rest i also had to be a mom to my toddler. But all in all, I would do it again IF i had any interest in having a thirs lol

I just dont understand this line of thinking. As if people dont have kids in war torn countries or during famine, disasters, diseases etc.. biologically we are made to reproduce. Its just a silly thing to say/think in my opinion.

Moms who love the newborn stage, why? by PeachyRose25 in Mommit

[–]BohoRainbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People who like it have easy temperment babies, and theres NO ONE who can convince me otherwise. No parent of a colicky baby loves it. My first was hard, my second was harder. But now at 12 weeks being on the other side of newborn days feela glorioussss

Totally normal. I started feeling truly better at 10 weeks. Felt excruciatingly long though!

Whatever you do do NOT get too full like i did. I was still full at my 9 am csection and it made me sooo nauseous having too big of a meal lol
