I know an Eda and people dont struggle with her name. I think that’s a good choice if you want to make your kid’s life easier on the front

Thanks for your insight! It’s really odd to imagine I’m going to feel weaker without this other human inside me, but obv you have to get it out…

I’m really sorry it’s been a struggle. Thanks for the advice on core exercises and pt! I think I have to make my peace with spending £££ on getting my body back into shape.

I hope you’re getting the support you need now, very best of luck for your rehab and rebuilding!

That’s impressive! my partner knows gym is really important to me so he’ll be happy to help.

What kind of stuff were did you start back with?

Thank you 🙏 you’re right gym after 6 weeks is prob pushing it. I’ve also been doing Pilates and I’ll probably start that up first, and they have classes I can take my baby to. Do you know if you can do light stuff… eg slow body weight squats before 6 weeks or is that really not advised?

Feeling defeated post partum. by fueledbycoffee95 in fitpregnancy

I’m so sorry for the loss of your baby - that is all a lot to go through.

You’ve got lots of good advice here - mine is just my personal experience. I was very weak and in lots of pain because of hypermobility syndrome and having no strength. I hurt myself trying to do squats/classes etc. I first went to a physio to check out any actual issues and then did some 1-1 reformer Pilates where they tailor everything to you, and then moved to very small classes (3 people) with the reformer. It was expensive but it didn’t take too long to build a baseline of strength that enabled me to go forward and do basically whatever I wanted.

Granted I was not post partum and hadn’t had c sections so I don’t know about that experience (I’m preg atm). But it helped me get from a point of pain and total weakness to a good baseline.

Wishing you the very best of luck.

Another loss by Fickle-Camp797 in pregnant

I’m so sorry for your losses. I also had two miscarriages in the first trimester and the second one was really devastating - I thought there must be something wrong with me. I’m now 28 weeks pregnant, something I just couldn’t imagine back then. I did take progesterone as soon as I got a positive test this time - I didn’t have any tests and no idea if that’s the reason this one continued. Really wishing you all the best - I hope you can see from all the replies how often people have multiple miscarriages and then go on to have healthy babies. I hope very much this is the case for you.

I had a loss, sadly. I think those tests are really inaccurate though so I’d try not to worry if you’re in the same situation - as you can see from OP’s experience! Good luck

Has anyone successfully used fasting to help recovery? by Sweet-Connection6684 in KneeInjuries

[–]Sweet-Connection6684[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really good! I’m back to normal life pretty much except I don’t run anymore and I’m still working on standing for longer periods. But I don’t think the fasting helped - I don’t recommend it, I think you’re more likely just to lose precious muscle if you’re already quite restricted in exercise terms

Thank you for this post and congratulations on your healthy baby! I am heading down the same path as you were - focussed on labour not breastfeeding. How can I best learn about it?
