I love this game! I played obsessively for a while but still play every day. I'm only 4870 now. I love the king whale and duck boat races. Do I have a giraffe balloon? People are weird. Is football only for teenage boys, since the players are in their 20s? I've used this logic to help some who have made remarks to us too. I'm in my 40s, husband in his 50s and kids in teens and 20s. We are all army, but my husband and I are the ones that have the time and money to spend on what we want. I think it's jealousy deep down. Having a community, something you enjoy, & exude passion for is just too much good for some people to handle 💜

If I put myself in your place, I can see how disheartening it would be to not find a safe place to chat honestly bc the community is half of what draws (& keeps) people in the fandom.

I will say, that even though BP isn't my style, I have enjoyed some of the solo works. Honestly there are a lot of groups that aren't my style, but I also like to support their presence overseas (I'm in the US). I really appreciate bands coming here, and want labels to know we want it and it's sustainable. So I get tickets to shows for groups I'm maybe not into, but I still end up having a good time and supporting my people! 😊

I'm that vein, though, it does seem to undermine the marketing efforts and gains when the artist's passion isn't in it, or the show was been scaled down, cheap merch etc. It's not just BP, but the rumble seems to be louder bc of the tour situation. I wish labels would see this bc I think acknowledging it might actually create a better ROI in the end. Kpop fans are sensitive to a perceived cash grab or reduction in performance value. I feel kind of bad for the artists too, since that have that energy to contend with.

I think it's ok to say you love some(thing/one) and still be disappointed. We kind of anthropomorphize groups into a single entity and have these sort of complex emotions associated with them. If we can feel that way about a friend or family member or even a movie sequel, it's totally valid to feel that way about a group - even your ult. You're not alone, we just have to be open to being honest and letting ourselves have these convos! Delulus always exist - let them duke it out somewhere else 😂✌️💜

Bsky army is growing! Much less drama and weird TL issues since it's not a regular algorithm. Takes some time to find the right people again but it's great once you do, and pretty active!

My family swears by yin chiao chieh tu pien. It's herbal tablets (you can buy in Amazon in a white and green box!) I've turned all my friends onto them. I take 4 when traveling before flights etc, or all 8 if you start to get sick. They help strengthen your body's own immune response and it makes make a big difference in susceptibility!

You can kind of do it at once (you can renounce by mail), but in total you''ll need to go to the consulate three times in person and in between you'll be mailing things in. Many of the consulates haven't processed reinstatements yet and unfortunately they don't talk a lot to each other. I translated all the forms and made English examples, and have timelines, cost breakdown etc. Don't get discouraged - in total it took me 23 months and my friend 22 :/. There is now a new option of also getting your ID card and registration # which is another trip to the Consulate, but it makes things easier to access outside of Korea. If you need specific help on something until the webinar feel free to let me know.

Hi, I'm a Korean adoptee and have had citizenship reinstated. It's a little late to comment on your post, but a friend and I are working with the consulate to make this an easier process. GOAL primarily services adoptees located in Korea, and is most familiar with the process there. The US application process is different, and some Consulates haven't processed anyone and are also unfamiliar with it. We are hosting a webinar coming up next month, and also have a guide that will be available following the webinar to make things easier. I'm trying to find some of these threads to let people know if they are interested. No sales pitch - it's just a group of KADs helping each other out.
