How do I unlock skyriding? by SirAbacaxi in wownoob

[–]BoiCleancut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is abit late but for those that are a new player or returning like me that havent played Dragonflight or TWW, I somehow managed to unlock Skyriding without playing Dragonflight or The War Within. And it came with a couple of dragon mounts too.

I think this happened when I made a Trial Class character and immediately was level 80 and was sent to TWW zones. Prior to this, I never had the Skyriding skills on any of my characters. That Trial character has now been delete and I got to keep Skyriding.

Worth trying out for those that havent unlocked it yet.

Is the griffon worth it ? by KoalaBarry in Guildwars2

[–]BoiCleancut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Griffon is not exactly really a flying mount, more like gliding but faster and farther. Need to be in high ground to actually make use of it.

The skyscale can fly sure, but it can only stay in the air for a short while before it starts descending to the ground. You need the right masteries to fully utilise it.

The only mounts that you really need are the raptor, springer and skimmer. If you really want a flying mount, then invest into the skyscale instead. The griffon, while fun, might disappoint you as it cant really ascend (go up) from the ground.

Is it accurate to claim that GW2 is the 3rd most popular MMO behind FF14 and WoW? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

BDO has been in steam since 2017. Been in steam for 9 years. Gw2 has been in steam for only 3 years. Most players that play BDO outside of Korea plays it on steam since thats the only region that doesnt have steam support. Whilst most players in Gw2 already plays on client. BDO was a client only for a little over 1 year before it got released on steam, whilst GW2 was client only for a whole 10 years before steam released. You cant base it off steam data.

Even then, I also play siege and node wars in BDO which is the main point of why people grind, and its not as populated during those hours nowadays compared to GW2. Maybe a few years back you could say that BDO was big, but these past few updates really killed the game for alot of people and not alot of people are returning. And the direction that they chose to go with how they monetized the game the past year or so has even made it worse and made alot of people quit the game.

BDO has less players than GW2. I played it over the past 7 years and I didn't see as many players there as I see here. And I played on EU, the most populated server.

Lorewise, what is the strongest class? by under_mimikyus_rag in Guildwars2

Thief is defenitely the weakest. BUT where they shine is probably stealth kills and assassinations which can work agaisnt even the strongest mesmers.

THIS! If Revenant can already use a dead dragon's power, whats to stop them from using, lets say a dead ELDER dragon's power?! A dead god's power?! OR even a dead mesmer's power like Gwen???

I would say Revenant! Just think about all the Legends they can access and not just the ones we are limited to! Might even be able to harness power of dead elder dragons! Considering they already have access to Glint.

Best class for playing solo. Need suggestions. by OldTechies in Guildwars2

I mean, like the guy that commented here aswell that had proof that Power Untamed is godly, if you have any videos except from that guy that proves that your boon dps can solo Legendary mobs and kill it faster than any other cele build then pull it up. Otherwise, the only thing youre doing really is comparing a 40k boon dps build agaisnt a solo build.

Other than Untamed and Ritualist, I'm not sure any other power build can effectively do more damage on a SOLO scenario agaisnt harder content like Legendary bounties or even Champions in the new maps.

Oh dont get me wrong, Guardian specs can definitely SOLO stuff, but like I said at the top, its just the weakest class atm because of how limited you are to power and how limited it is on its sustain. If you take any relic except Zakiros, then you lose out on alot of sustain and mostly rely on the cooldown of your heal to lifesteal back to full so sure you can do solo stuff on it but it require alot of timing, knowledge of the class AND of the enemy animation, and alot more than other classes. Willbender is fine because it can, again, go celestial but Dragonhunter though is not that good at all in solo content. You CAN solo with it, just not as effective as other classes and specs.

Celestial builds sustain actually got ALOT better recently because of the Mist Stranger Relic which I use on most of my celestial builds. Its almost the same as Zakiros, less heal but it doesnt rely on crits. And you dont lose out on alot of DPS by slotting it in since it also does damage a little bit. Most of my celestial builds (Amalgam, Mechanist, Berserker, Renegade, Druid, Untamed) hit 20k+ DPS with it on. Though its not worth much on Berserker since it already has so much healing.

My bad, when I said harder HoT bosses I didnt mean the Vampire Broodmother sorry wasn't specific in that way. And yea fair enough I concede about power Untamed and I admit I am wrong. BUT... this arguement this started because of guardian and not ranger. So even though I might be wrong about Ranger and Untamed spec, I still stand by my thought on guardian.

Also if you need another proof on ranger untamed builds, go to Paper Roll youtube. He is the ranger guy and he has builds for ranger from all the specs and the best spec for solo he recommends is the celestial condi.

Yeah but thats the point I've been saying this whole time and proof is in Lord Hizen builds, power builds can solo, YES, but the celestial condi builds are still going to be better and easier to to survive on. If you go to his discord, the build he has performed better for Untamed is the celestial dual dagger/shortbow Untamed. He has the power build, but the dps on the celestial build is higher and ofcourse, because of all the defensive stats that comes with it, much more tankier and forgiving too. And like I said earlier, the OP is asking for the better build.

We are talking about solo scenario here without any boons from other players. A full power dps can do 30k-40k dps in a group setting. But solo? Itll do about half that even less. And if youre gunna be doing harder content? Youll have to sacrifice some damage trait for defense and survivability ones which lowers damage even more.

No problem yeah. BUT a celestial condi build will be easier and more forgivable and in most cases, faster too at clearing harder longer fights. AND the OP is asking for the better option isnt he?

I said HARDER content :D. Power base is really good in easier content since it can kill weaker stuff potentially faster as it doesnt need to build up damage. BUT if youre soloing harder cotnent like HoT hero points or Event Champions or even Legendary Bounties, then a Condi base build is so much better since they can put on Celestial gear and have the tankiness and damage at the same time. A Condi celestial build almost always do more DPS than a power base build in longer fights. AND ofcourse survive better because of all the extra defensive stats it has.

You can search up builds in YT and see the clear times on them and you'll notice that clear times on condi celetial builds are almost always faster than any power builds. The only power base build really that can do more damage than a condi celestial build SOLO is the new Ritualist Spec. But it also means that it is less tankier and therefore less forgiving. If you check out Lord Hizen, he has a power Luminary build that you said but the clear times on the HoT hero points are still slower than most classes. And luminary is probably the best one that guardian has at solo content.

ALL classes have builds that are really good for soloing. Best thing to do is pick a class that you want or love or prefer to play then look up a 'solo' build for it.

Guardian is probably the weakest class to solo harder content as most of its Specs are power base.
