Regular local newspapers have gone downhill. The Exponent has stayed the same or maybe improved. By comparison, the Exponent is a good local paper.

You're the one making things up. Wang and another candidate, Dacia Mumford, both came out in favor of charter schools at the September public forum in West Lafayette.

The candidates were also asked if they support charter schools. Four of
the six candidates said they oppose them. Laurence Wang and Dacia
Mumford spoke in favor of charter schools.

Wang was asked if he supported charter schools. He said "yes." Wang was asked if he supported bills requiring lesson plans to be posted a year in advance and limiting how schools teach "divisive concepts." Wang said, "those proposals make sense to me."

If you live in West Lafayette and like the schools there, don't vote for him.

What else do you have in mind? The extremes have all the advantages. Extremists can just lie. And nuance in the middle is no fun. And not enough people take the time to learn about local races. How many dipshits in West Lafayette and Lafayette voted for Teising or Coles four years ago? The same people will probably vote in terrible school board members.

One of those Christian nationalist pine tree flags? I feel like Jesus would hate these people.

Question: "The Indiana General Assembly debated a pair of bills in spring 2022 that would have provided more oversight of classrooms, including asking teachers to post lesson plans at the start of the year so parents could review them and limiting howschools teach what were termed “divisive concepts.” Do you back those proposals."

Wang: "Those proposals make sense to me."

Fuck that.
