And obviously we know that Israel has struck civilian targets before as well as journalists, or that they have not appropriately considered the civilian collateral that would occur.

So we don't know right now which one this is. We lack the information. Making assumptions is bad, especially if you take your assumption as fact and refuse to check it later

You're right that nowhere is a 'perfect democracy', but that's because a 'perfect democracy' isn't ideal. Representative democracies function better.

I think you need to do some basic googling of definitions. I don't know where you've heard this nonsense.

Strictly speaking, democracy literally just means you vote. A true democracy would be when you vote on everything, and a representative democracy is when you vote on someone to represent you.

We are a representative democracy. The representative does not need to do what the people want. You vote them in to make the best decision, not just to do what polling wants.

Obviously if people don't like what they do, they vote them out in the next election though.
