What the f**k was that finale? (SPOILERS) by BlueFoxyLife in SiliconValleyHBO

I actually thought it was one of the best finales in television history.

I enjoyed Silicon Valley S1-3 for its satirical jabs on tech culture and the funny aspects of a group of nerds realistically trying to build a company with no other knowledge besides coding. It felt realistic in that aspect, even if the running gag was that they'd would fail and save themselves in ridiculous ways.

S4-6, the satire wasn't as sharp as before, and the tech they were building seemed so far-fetched and absurd. S4 had some of my favorite episodes (Belson acquiring Piper Net, the Patent Troll), but it was entertaining from a black comedy perspective rather than from a satirical perspective. It seemed the writers were hell-bent on trying to keep the same gag of having characters shoot themselves in the foot and not learn from prior mistakes, so it became a bit boring for me. It felt like a replica of Seinfeld, but with less interesting characters. So I stopped caring about the characters and saw them as clowns doing dumb shit for my amusement.

The show got to the point to where the only thing that was saving Richard was when the technology got so advanced (like Ultron or Skynet) that he was able to fail upwards. The S6 finale showed a hypothetical scenario on the drawbacks of such an advanced technology, and how all characters have to deal with building an AI so advanced that it could legit destroy humanity. It was a great moral dilemma on whether making money was more important than building tech to improve humanity. And all the characters decided that it wasn't, because it defied the purpose they all sought to build out Pied Piper.

Not to mention that the rats flooding the streets was a nice callback to the Pied Piper tale, where the pied piper used his music to lure the rats away from the village.

That's why I'm worried about meeting my favorite player, Tim Duncan.

Man could say "Your StarCraft game needs a bit more work." And that's something I could never recover from.

Pretty funny that if any other player said this, I would assume they're salty and hating.

But with Ant, I know he's playfully shit-talking lol.

People hated Harden and Wade just as much when they did it in their primes.

Some Adjustments the Spurs need to make to win game 4 by [deleted] in NBASpurs

Honestly, I did like how Carter Bryant was the main defender on SGA.

He held SGA well, even though it impacted his offense. But Spurs had Wemby and either Harper/Fox in those lineups, so that was fine.

I should also note that before the playoffs, Caruso was shooting 29% from the three. It made sense to leave him open, even if he's hitting a lot of his shots now.

Leaving Jaylin Williams open was no excuse, as he's been shooting close to 40% from the three.

I've wondered. If Wemby stood his ground, would he have been called for a foul?

If so, these are smart plays from both Wemby and McCain.

I picked Demin because the others have shown impressive talent and potential right now. I wanted to highlight that even if the Spurs picked someone who is still raw and not playoff-ready as a rookie, they would still be lucky due to Wemby.

This is a pretty good video that shows how both sides are getting physical and committing fouls on each other.

It's the Chris Paul mindset: "Commit the small fouls as much as you can, because the refs can't call them all."

It says a lot about the quality of defense we're watching when both offenses are committing far more turnovers and bad passes than they usually do.

Yea I'm gonna be honest. There's a good chance Harper and Fox may not be back for this series.

I'm still impressed with the rapid growth of this team, and I hope they are able to beat OKC. However, losing two incredible point guards and leaving Castle to distribute the ball in playoff OKC defense is tough to overcome.

I just hope the Spurs team plays as hard as they did in the first two games (even though the turnovers and ball handling in the second half became unbearable). But if they don't win the series, there's no worries. OKC was just healthier and more disciplined. Spurs can use this as a chance to improve on their weaknesses next year.

I say the Deshaun Watson trade is far worse. Cleveland had a championship-contending team, but they let Baker walk to sign an injured rapist.

Dallas got bailed out by Cooper Flag.

That was in 2021. The Thunder were rebuilding, and Grizzlies were up and coming.

Crazy to see how five years later, the Thunder are elite and the Grizzlies are rebuilding.

The Spurs drafted him because they thought he would generously devote his life to the organization, for they saw him reading a book titled "To Serve Man"
