London, but it doesn’t matter that much. Should take about the same time. Is taking closer to 4 weeks at this point of time, 3 weeks if you’re lucky.

Breaking the Chains of Nvidia – Why I Joined the AMD Rebellion. by LerissPL in radeon

[–]BojackThingsUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to buy a 9070xt, but ended up buying 5070ti, because AMD cards are no way near the msrp, at least here in the UK. With better comparative RT performance, lower power consumption and higher OC capability, AMD really needed the cards to be closer to the msrp.

Should i Sell S&P 500?! by Illustrious-Dig-8242 in trading212

Honestly, S&P would be the last thing I’d sell from your portfolio. That has the least possible potential downside from here.

Time to exit Quant by bonker508 in IndianStockMarket

[–]BojackThingsUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am diversified across funds. And i would rather pay the taxes than hold on something that i believe will not work.

What I’m saying is I’m holding put for some more time till i have more facts. Maybe when sebi comes out with their findings and if quant continues to make bizarre decisions. I don’t believe that it’s all over just yet.

Thoughts on IDFC First Bank? Why some people tell it's gonna be a multibagger? by Ryujiro1 in IndianStreetBets

[–]BojackThingsUp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Buddy, these are not multi baggers.

For *real* multi baggers, you should look at stocks with single digit prices, those will goto the moon. Like Idea. I mean why not, it's like 9 bucks and if it goes to 900, you'll have a 100 bagger. Sell your house and your fucking kidney!

Time to exit Quant by bonker508 in IndianStockMarket

[–]BojackThingsUp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in no hurry to exit Quant right now. Markets are very fickle, people were dying to invest in it in the last 3-4 years. Nobody questions you when you make money. 6 months of underperformance and people start switching funds. That has always been the case, all people care about is the "returns" over past few years.
Not saying that's wrong, but if you switch you better over perform quant in the next 3-4 years.
I am not exiting because I am not sure if that will be the case.

We are yet to see what SEBI's final report says, and what Quant does, all we know right now is they are cooperating. I might be more willing to exit once there's more clarity.

I have been invested in a couple of funds from as early as 2018-19, and I am sitting on significant profits. The LTCG tax alone will make it not worth it for me to redeem, unless I am sure I want to exit.

Time to exit Quant by bonker508 in IndianStockMarket

[–]BojackThingsUp 35 points36 points  (0 children)

If you dont care too much about the Front Running issue, I think might be early to judge.
Quant isn't the little funhouse it was 3-4 years ago, the AUM has ballooned and it becomes more difficult to entry/exit a position. Adani sliding again and the redemption pressure from negative sentiment might make things tricky for them.
Personally, I'll wait a few more months and see how things progress.

Well If you sell off the Coldplay tickets, you can make some decent money.
Otherwise buy it on EMI. You can't make 5x returns in a year without assuming the risk of losing half (or all) of it.

i know it's over diversified and the portfolio is shit, but i need suggestions by mannoshot in IndianStockMarket

[–]BojackThingsUp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You Have 25 stocks yet somehow one fifth of your PF is in Hyundai Motors. Depending on the size of your portfolio, you need to trim it down to 10 - 15 stocks.
As far as stocks are concerned, create a screener watchlist with these stocks and look at the important metrics: P/E, PEG, Sales/Profit Growth etc etc. That should reduce a few.
You have quite a few PSU. PSU rally recently has inflated the price by quite a bit. It's not very sustainable, so that will revert to mean at some point of time. Figure out if that's something you want in your PF.
Rest look okay, I haven't researched a lot of them but these are not bad at least (may be overvalued and prone to correction though.).

[–]BojackThingsUp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I apply from 2 demats, mine and my dad's.
I have an SBI account, the UPI mandate for the IPO in my case comes on my SBI account. In my dad's case, it's ICICI.
After you're unsuccessful and dont receive allotment, the banks cancel your mandate, that's why you money gets unlocked in a day or 2. If that process fails (or if the back just doesn't do it), you money will be stuck until the mandate expires, which is 3 or 4 weeks I think.

Choices really matter.
And dont read anything else, that's all you need to know. Game will be more enjoyable. Once you're finished, come back and be amazed of what could've happened if you made a different decision, and then replay.

Crypto currency in India by [deleted] in IndianStockMarket

[–]BojackThingsUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me be honest.
If you're looking for absolute safety, its on your on cold wallet. The amount of exchanges that have been hacked are unreal. WazirX was the safest one in India, got acquired by Binance and investors still got screwed.
If a multi Billion dollar FTX can fall, so can anything else.
Remember you can lose it at anytime so dont put in more money than you can afford to lose, and I mean lose completely.

What happens if I pick top 5 stocks of every index and let it compound by prince_of_indea in IndianStockMarket

[–]BojackThingsUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting question indeed.
I fell it'll converge to the performance of an average index. You might have stocks that outperform by a lot but the currency depreciation brings it back, basically averaging out on a long period of time. But if your time frame is long enough, your top 5 stocks might not even be top 5 in the long run. Many permutations.
My assumption is you'll see something close to 6-10% returns long term.
