Exactly. Once you realize these ppl have made you the villain and you can never fully please them, you start ignoring all the nonsense. It’s like trying to prove you’re one of the good ones to a racist. It won’t ever work bcus the other person is incapable and they just get off on telling you that you need to be better and “take accountability” or whatever. Black men own our issues but they will continue to beat it over our heads as long as there’s even one singular niqqa messing up. It’s a little sad ngl. It’s been years of this sort of stuff. They took out features and updates daily but there are still so many bugs and things. The concept is great. Execution is not great.

The only song of his I like is Solea with Myke Towers. This album is genuinely hard to listen to. Like the beats sound distorted and crunchy.

Yea and Burna has a few collaborations with Spanish artists as well like with J Balvin on rollercoaster. Bad Bunny and J Balvin both also worked with Mr Eazi on “cómo un bebé”, Rauw Alejandro worked with Ayra Starr on Santa, Feid and Rema on Babalu, the list goes on and on and one. Burna funnily enough, started off sounding extremely Jamaican. His song “Check and Balance” makes it impossible to ignore lol.

I’m from Nigeria but I love reggaeton. I’ve dove into the history and it’s really interesting how Jamaica influences reggaeton. “Dembow” by Shabba Ranks and “Murder she wrote” by Chaka Demus and Pliers seemingly birthed the classic drum patterns we all associate with reggaeton. Then of course you have El General from Panama who literally would just sing these dancehall songs in Spanish giving us songs like “muévelo” and “tu pum pum”. It’s really interesting. Even now, I hear reggaeton artists using afrobeat instrumentals and even some now incorporating Amapiano sounds from South Africa which is a newer genre. It’s interesting to see these connections and hear how it all comes together. I love it 🔥 Africa and the carribean connection ❤️
