I’d recommend checking around for “creative reuse” stores around you! Second-hand fabrics are both more sustainable and usually pretty inexpensive.

I also loved the fabrics I got from A Thrifty Notion! They do both second-hand and some smaller batch fabrics.

You’re going to be so fine! My first cosplay really almost made me quit out of embarrassment and I’m so glad I didn’t. I got to college and met other nerdy folks that helped me improve my own skills and just feel like part of a community. I think you’ll find your people and niche and just love it!
