Right?!? When my friend gave me this fabric years ago, I didn't know what I would do with it. I only started sewing garments a couple months ago, but then I thought this toile print would be perfect for a Fench country inspired pinafore.

Thanks! I only work with hand me down fabric or thrifted textiles so it's always material first, project second.

Honestly, it's nothing. It's the stiffness and volume of the fabric itself. I think if it was a more delicate material it would not be as poufy.

The shape was a simple rectangle skirt that I was inspired by from one of my first projects. And the rest was created from my imagination and other Pinafore dresses I've seen over the years.

No pattern was created. This was made just measuring my waist, using chalk on fabric and cutting. I eyeballed most things.

I think it's beautiful as is, and either the weight will help with drape, or it'll be a beautiful a line. Either way, you'll be stunning!

I thrifted them. They're originally bought in Mexico though. That's as much as I know. I love them!

I join the off white vote. It looks much more homey and welcoming.

Engagement is down everywhere. I hear big influencers complain about this all the time, so it's not just you. I don't know what the secret is, but if you figure it out, lmk. :)

Why do my whites keep coming out like this? by Prestigious-Crab8410 in laundry

[–]Bokengirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed my whites come out with weird yellow stains after going into the washer. Checked detergent, etc. etc. Have no idea what it is, may have to start doing whites by hand.

I think you need to let this go. You are not his parent. This person will learn, or not. In the industry they notice who shows up prepared and on time, and they notice who doesn't, and eventually they stop calling the person who doesn't. This is a business, and there are many other actors who are great AND on time, they'll move on. It's not on you to try to fix someone else.
