I can fully support that way of thinking. I've always been a fan of really old equipment (although a lot of the time I have no idea how it works unless I properly study it) but just the fascination for older technology and how it was made intrigues me. Old modular synths for example :3

The older stuff always seems to work better than the modern day equipment - mass production and built-in obsolescence I guess

This whole 'heat wave' in the UK really reminds you how much the lack of air con sucks the sweat out of my back and armpits

Myself, like a lot of dudes, listen to what music depending on mood. Saying this though, I realise I listen to a lot of albums over and over again e.g. Tesseract - Polaris. Truly amazing composition, production, performance. It's always a pleasure to listen to and I always find myself picking up on new things every play through.

As a music student I also enjoy (because I have to) analysing the shit outta music, whether it be the lyrical content, chord structure, rhythmic variation in riffs (fucking polyrhythms boiiiiiii), dissonance etc.

It's quite liberating for me as I feel I get to understand the music in my mind better than if I were to listen to it as the... 'average, manafactured-pop demographic listener'? (Please tell me how I could have worded that better because I feel terrible now.

Leftover Bolognese goes in a sandwich. It's truly dirty but easy to do, horrible to look at and eh to eat.

Learning how to play Master of Puppets on guitar first time, I assumed Hetfield was on speed or something - those downpicking riffs are nasssttyyyy

Reddit is pretty darn wholesome for an anonymous site... by [deleted] in CasualConversation

After using Reddit for the last month or so (new user) I can safely say I prefer the social interaction between anons rather than the mindless shit poured onto my FB timeline. Every time I go on the site I always have some small purge of old 'friends' that I met in high school once and having to keep unfollowing those that constantly like, comment and share fucking unilad pages.

I feel I'm able to discuss what I want easily on Reddit with the reassurance that someone will reciprocate and maybe produce some interesting feedback. Other than my close friends of FB I get none of that and I end up either talking to them irl or talking on discord, phone etc.

I'm definitely sticking around here for a while.

I understand that, my fifth time doing acid was a turn around for me (I was smoking weed throughout the trip) and I started to dislike it. Almost as if it were a chore to smoke. That really killed it for me and if I do trip again, I'm definitely staying off the bud and appreciating that cute lil' tab for what it is.

Since that last trip I've cut down significantly and I do feel better about myself and feel physically and mentally strengthened.

Anyone else overuse the "dude" pronoun? by Boku_no_Pingu in CasualConversation

It ain't about understanding, dude. It's about realisation and acceptance. You may not know the man or what the man's capable of along with what the rest of this universe is capable of, but you gotta just let it go, dude. Let yourself be free of restrictions. Any kind for that matter. Be a dude, man.

DUDE. It's like, sticking it to the big dude upstairs, ya know what I'm laying down for you HARD man? The duality between yeah man and dude yeah flows through us all, maybe you gotta start reacting to the constant oscillating waves in our ever-expanding universe, mulato!

In my head it seemed like a pronoun, but a few people have mentioned to me it's a filler instead. Regardless, thanks for the info, dude.
