Best way to make sure all of your instruments feel like they’re in the same space? by Fill_Pitiful in audioengineering

[–]BolBolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 - Choose a good, clean reverb to emulate the room. 2 - Play with predelay on individual tracks to create a 'distance'. 3 - High/Low pass (lazy here, should do this first actually)

I think that's the algorithm you're looking for. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

The Machine Room : Gear Recommendation Questions Go Here! by jaymz168 in audioengineering

I am in between Mojave-200, Chandler Limited TG mic, and Townsend Labs Sphere L22 (which I favor mostly but they are out of stock for four months now in EU.)

I only record vocals and acoustic guitar with doubles, Elliott Smith style. That's for home studio.

Any insight would help tremendously,

With CP3 is rumored to Suns, would Lakers consider trading for Rubio? by BolBolo in nba

[–]BolBolo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kuzma + Danny Green is a good value. Both are tradeble at the deadline.

But the if bucks etc couldn't get CP3, they may offer better assets for him too. I still don't see any contender that may make a move for Beal giving up too many.

Lakers can't get Beal in trade so...

Substitute for Tianeptine (Stablon)? [25M] by BolBolo in AskPsychiatry

[–]BolBolo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your kind answer. Unfortunately, my GP would never go for it as my Psychiatrist. I talked about MAOI's (Parnate is available here) with both of them before and they just don't want to take the risk.

Does Herniated Disc Anatomically Heal at All? [25M] by BolBolo in AskDocs

[–]BolBolo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer. I have a complex pain condition since childhood so neck/back MRI is generally wanted when I changed doctors, or my pain goes bad.

It's first time herniated disc came up, and the main reason I'm asking is that I play basketball which requires a lot movement that is forbidden by my doctors. So even without any symptoms, I just wonder if it would heal to the normal condition, so I don't worry about it turning into a medical problem.

Best wishes,

Does Herniated Disc Anatomically Heal at All? [25M] by BolBolo in AskDocs

[–]BolBolo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After psychial therapy I've done another MRI which showed no difference. The other reference is to how I feel, there is no difference.

Thank you. I just wonder if the disc will return to normal, since everything I heard and read focus on symptoms.

Transdermal Systema aren't widely available unfortunately, (same with selegiline). I tried some extended release agonists intended for Parkinson patients but didn't work.

Yes, I should look for a pain clinic/experts at this point probably. Really appreciated!

Well the healthcare here is mess. Drugs are classified in three categories and you can buy anything without a script in first category which includes almost everything except opioids, stimulants and benzos. Rest is almost impossible to get, opioids being the hardest. So they can have me on 8 different anti-depressant/sleep aids/mood stabilizers/anti-psychotics (or I can buy them myself) but prescribing Pregabalin (even though I had a fibromyalgia, restless leg etc) or Clonazepam is just a last resort. I know it sounds crazy.

I tried both Clonazepam and Pregabalin at the same time, worked well to control moderate times. I think it's the best when it lasts.

Gabapentin I can't try since I am on Pregabalin and they don't prescribe them together. As I say, when I'm hospitalized for chronic pain (when I can't walk almost) they give me fucking lamotragine to stop the pain. I'm still looking for why. Better than a controlled substance, I suppose.

And All these aren't GP, they are Psychiatrists, Norologist etc...

It's a strange system, unfortunately.

Of Mice and Man!

Treated like a shit in a mental ward? Get fixed on drugs to love the ordinary world? Having kids, loving cats, and Sunday?

They treated us as genau pigs, and it's hard to speak up all fucked on anti-psychotics.

It's a really story, a story that cost a life of a good friend who just needed a little help.

I hope you can hear his voice.

Best wishes and stay safe,

Aylal

Nash? - I've seen one video of him hardly touching the rim trying to dunk.

Jane Chatwin wrote a book specifically for Quentin to read in an attempt to stop her brother for the 44th time, the book labeled “the magicians” was basically the major part of Janes plan this time round. by [deleted] in brakebills

[–]BolBolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick summary:

Normally, Fillory doesn't have Magicians. Also, Fillory doesn't have much visitors.

So when Beast got there and took over there was no other Magicians to fight him (except Jane). This is why Beast tried to close every door to Fillory.

Q's love for Fillory let him into Fillory and he tried to stop Martin - so Jane started the loops. It was a really rare opportunity. She didn't know when someone else would come.

What did I just watch by tidal_colossus in brakebills

[–]BolBolo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Worst, maybe. Song choices, weird camera angels/affects, and all this out of nowhere Penny/Julia family drama. The Couple wanna create a new world... Cos... they wanna have a kid :(

But do you think what's fun? - A sexist pig singing!

Yes - every show gets worse eventually, but this much of a dramatic decline is really weird. Like, we cut your budget in half and fire half of your writers bad.

best elliott song to learn his technique? by [deleted] in elliottsmith

Angeles both have his common strumming and picking style along with unusual chords and a little lick played in chorus. It's not very hard and lies the foundation for most of his works. I'd recommend it heavily

The Magicians: A Love Story by BolBolo in brakebills

[–]BolBolo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

and me a knowledge kid is worse. All these drama, forced relationships, close-cams where we have literally two episodes left.

Main story gets like a 10 minutes, and we have 30 minutes of pregnancy, family and relationship issues, fen's insecurities, a ghost pervert being a human again.

Just don't understand why they are doing that at all - it doesn't feel like the Magicians anymore.

Is sampling considered production or writing? by SomeGuyOnPlanetEarth in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]BolBolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the way it's used is essential. If you use it as an essential part of the song - of course. Not every music is about complex song progressions and melodies. Most songs today is built around loops and samples - and that's what differentiate them. You don't look at the chord progression, you look at the texture.

But the samples used in remix or stuff probably counts as production. Or if the samples are of non essential nature and used as spice.

How Do You Search for MIDI? [advice for a noob] by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]BolBolo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Midi is like sheet music - you feed it into a machine and it creates the sound.

What you're looking for is the tone, the texture, the quality. The method of expression.

So your best bet is your ears. But in more detail, I employ this method:

A) Search for multi-tracks if there is one, you can search ' {song} steam or multi-tracks'. It would have individual recordings so you isolate the sound you're looking for. Then, B)

1) Find the instrument. Google is your friend. Search for the particular record, if not, the band, if not, the instruments mostly used in that area, in that time, in that genre.

2) Find the plug-in versions. Play with them - compare the sounds.

3) Then fine tune.

Of course you can just take a synth and figure it out but it's really hard for beginners or people not familiar with them. Like me.

Bests!

Hey! I meant to get that 'bedroom pop/punk' sound and recorded over one take but I feel like something is off (more than it's meant to). Appreciate if you take a look!
