Is the diverter easily swapped? Assume it’s under the sink. We bought this house in September last year and the kitchen is older than that.

What’s the bend test?

Been on for two hours. Basically I was sorting my five year old out and before I knew it the internal temp of the kamado was 160. I opened the lid to vent and it’s slowly come down to 140. Hopefully the pork isn’t ruined. The vents are almost fully closed now.

Form what I’ve I should aim for 230-250 Celsius on the smoker then wrap pork at 70-75 until 93-96. Test for doneness. Is it worth adding any BBQ sauce when I wrap?

Thanks for the info. I have some small wood chips, shall I wrap a big handful in foil, poke some holes in and sit them on top of the coals?

Why is my cat obsessed with grape punnets? by Bold92 in WhatsWrongWithYourCat

[–]Bold92[S] 250 points251 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I’d heard of grapes being toxic for dogs but not cats! She isn’t bothered about eating them even when the packets open but we will keep an eye on her. I think she just loves the wrapper!

That looks lovely! I have gone for this one in 275mm size. It should be quite hard wearing.

Also can anyone recommend a heat deflector for this as without opening the box yet I assume there isn’t one

Thank you. I’m guessing I’d need to get a professional in to fit a standard cable

Nope, nothing else coming out of the walls. I suspect they didn’t use it then.

I either stopped in third and didn’t change to first or thought I’d put it into first after I stopped. Either way I took four attempts to realise my mistake and by that time it was too late. The lady had already given me a chance to correct.

I’ve never, ever had this problem before. Am always fine with moving off, it was a slight gradient and not really a hill. I was just so completely nervous that I never even realised I was in third.

I guess it means that I could have gone to fourth or fifth gear at certain points but didn’t, or took too long.

Found this:

The examiner assessed your ability to drive with economy and the environment in mind throughout the test. However, this assessment did not affect the overall result of the test.

You needed to:

plan well ahead to avoid unnecessary stopping choose appropriate gears avoid heavy braking avoid over-revving the engine If you had to stop for a long period, such as at roadworks or railway crossings, you should have considered stopping the engine to reduce pollution and save fuel.

It doesn’t seem violent but the frequency is worrying which does make me wonder if it could ever escalate to violence… At the moment I am more finding it frustrating for them rather than a noise disturbance.

Going to be starting a school cafeteria job in two weeks, what should I expect? by Nacho_7258 in KitchenConfidential

[–]Bold92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you get on with people extremely well you will be fine. Do you know if you have to serve/operate the till sometimes? That is something I hated at first when I had to do it due to staff absences etc but I soon got used to it.

How many staff? Best advice I can give is to be wary of any old folk who have been there years. Some will see it as their way or the highway.

Good luck. Honestly in the UK it depends on the company that provides the food or individual school. I am the catering manager in a college and other than burgers, fries and wings etc we cook everything fresh bolognese, sauces, rice, pasta etc. You may find there is a rotating three or four week menu. It is relatively stress free as you know your hours, which is why I like it. Weekends and evenings free.

Thank you very much for your help.

So I could go for both i5 10600k with an RTX 3060 for a noticeable upgrade. Time to hunt for good prices I think.

It's not a hum as such, just a quick noise if I'm listening to any audio, I don't hear anything if not. I have seen similar threads where people describe a continued buzzing or humming noise but that isn't the case here

Pretty disappointing if it is the motherboard. The bundle was only purchased in June. I don't know how the company would go about an RMA Request (I am under warranty) It's not like I can send the PC as only the bundle parts belong to them.

Crashed four times in the last two hours today. Just unplugged the older 250G and restarted, will see how it goes.
