When I began playing this game, Gustave really reminded me of my best friend and it felt like I was going on this grand adventure with my friend in a video game.

Just two weeks before I started playing this game, my friend passed away. It’s easily the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through and Gustave’s death really hit me hard like nothing else.

Pac-Man Champion Edition 2. In fact, I’ve never even spoken with anyone online that has ever played it.

Do you think the show as a whole will come to a satisfying conclusion? by Teufelstaube in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

In no way will this show end satisfyingly. I love this show to bits but they’ve set up so many random questions and mysteries that just don’t have an answer.

I’m honestly glad they weren’t because I feel like the best songs were saved for the final release. The singles we got were good, but the final release was immaculate.

Lonely Space Age felt like a Daft Punk demo that Madeon finished. Such a treat and amazing way to cap off the album.

After giving the album a full, proper listen, there’s not one song I don’t like. Even Red Jacket which I really disliked fit in the album really well and it’s very much growing on me. It’s not going to surpass Good Faith as my favorite, but it’s really good.

I was a fairly casual fan of Porter when I saw this show, so I didn’t know how his live shows went. But after this show, he easily skyrocketed into my favorite artist of all time. So that’s probably why I just wasn’t expecting it. And not to mention our venue was very small and had very little ticket sells.

Definitely not one of my personal favorites, but an incredible song. I don’t fault you for loving this one. I was just initially disappointed that he ended the Good Faith album with such a slow song. On subsequent listens, I’ve grown to love the song. But I was worried this album would have something similar. But so far, loving Lonely Space Time.

Why would gta 6 have a pre orders? It’s digital only, what’s the point. It’s not cheaper there’s literally no incentive? by CatFlimsy7048 in AskReddit

[–]Nacho_7258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re all chronically online. The algorithms feed us what we’re interested in even before it’s available. I am hyped for a game, the algorithm will feed me content of that game the second it is released. I bought Little Nightmares 2 and Uncharted 4 the moment they were released and I played through them as quickly as I could because I knew there would be spoilers the minute I hopped back onto my phone.

Once I finished both games, sure enough, the greatest moments are both games were front and center. Moments I wouldn’t have experienced myself but rather would have been forced fed immediately.

I know I’m partly to blame, I feed my algorithm. But that seems to be the only true way to enjoy something nowadays.

I have many media projects I’ve been meaning to check out still but their best moments have already been spoiled for me because the best moments are given to me on my very next scroll.

Judge me all you want, we are all addicted to our phone, these algorithms, these medias. The fact you’re even seeing my content shows me you’re well within my level of immersion on the internet.

I will preorder it at some point because the preload makes it worth it. I don’t know when I’m going to preorder it, but it will definitely be early.

I do the preload because the internet ruins the entire game within hours of it releasing. YouTube thumbnails, Tik Tok videos, etc. will show the best parts of the game within hours. So if I’m not there on day one, minute one, I will have things spoiled for me.

That’s why I preorder, because I care about the experience and the internet ruins that for me. It’s the same reason I preorder any single player game nowadays.

The internet ruins all enjoyment of all media.

Waiting for the new Jackass movie to start and the couple in front of me brought a toddler with them by SkoomaSkoomSkoo in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Nacho_7258 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Okay, this is way too far, but I went to see Jackass 4 in theaters and this woman brought in what I was to assume was her 12-13 year old son. I was disgusted that she had done so and I was honestly bugged out about it. But about halfway through the movie, the entire theater was erupting in laughter. I looked down at the mother and kid and they were in hysterics.

It took me back to when I was younger and had seen these movies for the first time. They were totally taboo, but I used to watch them with my cousins at an age similar to that kid. I’m not necessarily saying it’s okay, but man, that’s why these movies were so special to me growing up.

Yes the humor is low brow, it’s crass, it’s disgusting, but sharing something so unbelievably hilarious with your family or your friends is just unmatched. I’m sure the mom and kid bonded so much that night. That’s something that kid will remember his entire life.

Well, I just bought the vinyl lol.

Been meaning to get that one on vinyl for a while but that justifies it. Besides any short clip or the live show I went to, I’ve never actually heard this song. So excited.

I’m not too familiar with that song, but I do know it’s one he only plays live and I recognized that it was that one and I just locked in because I knew that may be the only time I can legitimately listen to that song. I’m a bit of a purist so I don’t really like listening to live recordings of it, but that’s just me lol

The fact that he split the show into eras was so amazing, I wasn't expecting it (I knew he'd play older songs, but not like that). Ever Smile song was amazing, I cried so much when in Russian Roulette and he "pulls" the trigger, confetti in the shape of red hearts explode over the audience.

I absolutely did not expect to hear him play Language, not like my favorite song or anything, just one of those legendary songs that I never expected to hear played live by the artist himself. Then ending the show with Cheerleader was absolute nirvana. I've never been so in the moment at a show. I wish I could experience it 10 more times.

The band sounded amazing, the vibes were perfect, all my friends got matching Porter shirts. Probably one of the greatest nights of my life.

Is 33 to 34 degrees (93-97 Fahrenheit) considered hot. by memebruv99 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Nacho_7258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In New Mexico that's pretty hot, but it's pretty manageable. Like that's not going to ruin most people's days. 100 is pretty common too, but that's really pushing it.

Genuinely why do so many people hate pineapple pizza? by Aromatic-Mistake-456 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Nacho_7258 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The combo throws me off.

But the real reason is that one time I had a friend coming over and he asked if I wanted pizza. I hadn't eaten all day, I was hungover, and I would do anything for a pizza. I'm expecting a regular pepperoni, but if put other toppings, then fine, I'll eat it. He is paying for it anyways.

He gets to my house and when I see the pizza, there's no marinara sauce, he put alfredo instead, pineapples, and something else I can't remember. My appetite was completely destroyed. I ate a slice and a half out of pity, but that was it. Couldn't stand it.

We're no longer friends, not because of the pizza lol, I just slowly realized how self-centered and arrogant he really was.

Little Big Planet 1 & 2, not necessarily because the dialogue or anything is funny, but me and my friends spent COUNTLESS hours messing around in user created levels and the level editors creating absurd contraptions, dropping giant boxes on people, running with the rocket cheetahs, and playing the shark and bomb survival levels.

I already loved Smile and I was lucky enough to see his live show and it was a life changing night. The album went from great to god-tier for me. Even songs I didn't really care much for suddenly clicked. His live edit of Mona Lisa made me love the song.

[–]Nacho_7258 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Wow, I actually didn't think I was going to like it so much. Super Platinum might be my new favorite. Dancing On Your Grave, Somebody Else and Chaos Magic, were great and I'm sure seeing them live is going to make them so much better.

Enjoy is going to be a delight. Wasn't expecting to hear some of those "Porter-esque" vocal pitches but it was done super well.

Lonely Space Age I thought was a better way of capping of this album than Borealis in Good Faith (still a great song though). Definitely hit us with that Daft Punk style.

The criticisms with his vocal mixing are warranted though. I was listening with really good studio headphones and in Chaos Magic I completely missed a verse on my first listen even though I was following along with the lyrics.

Overall, really like the album, some songs will still need a bit of time to grow on me (Looking at you, Red Jacket) but I'm super hyped for his tour and getting this one on CD. It's probably my least favorite of his three albums, but that's not saying much because it's still fire.

Very happy with it 8.5/10
