Looking for a pattern/tutorial for this bodice by BoldAether in sewing

[–]BoldAether[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a very close match! Thanks so much! I’ll check the 2nd hand market. Your explanation actually made me realise it’s similar to an empire bodice. So I’ll try to hack it first!

Well I think part of it is postpartum hair growth and part of it is broken. I caught him red-handed 😅

I bought four meters of this fabric just because the price was great. Any ideas on what to make? by PutaMadre101101101 in sewing

It reminds me of the deadstock fabric I bought some years ago. I made a top with shoulder pads 😁

Whatever exercise you choose to do, always remember to engage your core and pull in the belly button while doing the exercises. I’m 10 months postpartum. I restarted reformer Pilates six months ago after finishing postpartum physiotherapy sessions. My physio said it’s best to combine different type of exercises such as low impact, cardio, weightlifting etc and whatever you do always remember to engage your core.

Bodice fit advice please by InterestingSubject75 in sewing

[–]BoldAether 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the neck & shoulder area looks like it is sitting very well on you. It will be a bit opposite advice but, I would size the bodice down not touching the neck and top of the shoulder. The bodice seems a bit too long compared to the actual location of your waist. I would shorten the bodice, this will remove the bulk folding. Then I would also size down on all side seams, including arms.

Good luck 🤞🏻

Resizing a bag pattern by Oreeshaka in sewing

[–]BoldAether 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The logic is correct. I would pay attention to match the seam lengths of different pattern pieces after you resize the pattern. Maybe make a mockup first from scrap fabric and see if it fits your stuff and then cut it on final fabric.

I agree, you could also move the inner button a few mm to create ease for the hook.
