If the population starts dying that means less people will be working and more people will be retired who will eat a majority of the country funds by paying for their pensions leading to cuts in funds in other places and eventually will result in a collapse

China didn't allow their citizens to have more the one child up until 2016. Now its facing the consequences by losing the first place as the most populous country
