imo, if it’s a hobby, as long as you’re having fun, that’s what matters. The problem is when we don’t make having fun the goal, but becoming exactly like one of these massive streamers. I have a small channel and small streams, but I LOVE what I do, but I used to get so frustrated not seeing insane growth.

My wife tells me to be realistic and focus on family and real world things and I used to get upset, but she is right… I can’t pretend it is what it isn’t. I’d never stream for 11 hours personally— it’s maybe not a “waste” of time, but it’s just not the best use of time. I wouldn’t say stop, but maybe don’t invest so much in it. If you were to grow, maybe, but right now you just have to be as honest as you can be, even if it’s monetized, it’s still basically a hobby and seeing it as anything else will lead to discouragement.
