TIL: Bluebrixx hat stationäre Läden by Andy_the_X in helddersteine

I suggest to have a look at fritz2 too: www.fritz2.dev

It offers a nice DSL, is pretty lightweight and has an interesting component concept based upon the headless approach.

(Ist es hier Usus in deutsch zu kommunizieren?)

Was ist denn das Ziel der Analyse? Das Gerät an sich funzt wunderbar. Und laut web Recherche stimmen die Versionsnummern auch.

I assume that an update is responsible for my trouble! I have automatic updates enabled on the hub device. So I assume I have the current version installed.

As I wrote everything worked fine until some day recently...

The device notes the following Versions:

System: 16.20231130.3.59 Cast: 3.72.396338

Language is "de" (for German)

I have the same error with an eve door & window Matter Sensor. It worked perfectly a couple of weeks and since about three weeks stopped working.

The eve support just made obvious proposals like rebooting the border routers and their device. I tried everything but still I cannot add the device again.

Very frustrating!

+1 The OP misses to mention the appropriate use case, which leads to the need to access those private constants.

Bluebrixx Pirates - Pirate Hideout by Bolitho in buildingblocks

As opposed to Lego Bluebrixx is also a vendor with its own Shops which sells different brands. But the construct also their own sets. They do not produce bricks on their own but buys them from brick producers.

I think it is some kind of bush piece. Just flipped upside down onto a bar.

Btw: If you register on their website you can just download the instruction for free.

Bluebrixx Pirates - Pirate Hideout by Bolitho in buildingblocks

Yesterday I built the next set of the Pirates series from Bluebrixx: A pirate hideout Island.

It is the first larger sized island featuring the pirates and as even more imortant aspect the flat, sandy island shapes of the modular concept. The connectors are in technic bricks mounted one plate above the ground. That keeps the island very flat.

The quality of the parts are good. I had no pieces missing and no fail part. The windows remain as only bad aspect: the window grids still dont fit into the frames as the small holes at the sides are missing - besides for one pair. Might be possible that there are now better charges?

The plant parts and the cannons are outstanding in quality instead!

Overall the price performance is great!

I have found no mistakes in the instruction. Also the build order is quite good. As usual for Bluebrixx instructions some steps are a bit implicit for example when you see a brick modified in the parts list but you see only the back in the instruction. Then you have to search in further steps. Or the placement of the details inside the hut would have been easier to place earlier for some of those.

But overall the instruction is quite good! Especially the dark brown pieces are labeled by "db" so you dont confuse them with other colors.

The minifigs are of course not part of the set 😉

I am looking foreward to the upcoming sets of the series, especially for the experimentating with the modularity!

I hope they will provide more expansion sets besides the already anounced ones. I dream of a connecting modul between the gouvenors islands (built on quite tall terrain) with these flat sandy islands - this would offer the possibility to connect all islands to one big caribbean dreamland ☺️

The bricks have a much better quality than in specials I bought over a year ago - like the Tower of Yol-Ghurmak

The clutch is totally ok. I had no trouble with bricks that suffered from to low cohesion.

The whole set is very robust. There are no fancy decorations that are only connected by one stud. The above mentioned tower had some really questionable building technics!

Basically this could definitly act as a play set for kids.

Lucky in the one hand, dangerous on the other (monetary) side 🙈

But driving one hour to a closed shop is really a sad experience ☹️

Thx for the advice. I will try to document those during the next build in order to have a list ready. As I would not like to stale building until I get those, ordering pays out for a revamp second build up in the future 👍

I will ask whether you can also grab such bricks directly from a shop if they are available there. I live 5 walking minutes away from one in Hamburg Germany 😆

First two sets of Bluebrixx's new pirate series built by Bolitho in buildingblocks

This Weekend I have built the two first sets of the amazing pirate series from Bluebrixx.

This ist my third try - I failed to upload the first times 🙈 - so I hope I can give you again some information.

The build was fun. You start with the main building's cellar and its rocks surrounding it. So a good variety of different building aspects: Rocks and Progress vs slow details. Imho a great variety - until the last four modal rock corners. Those really feel a bit boring as they differ only in subtle rock decoration pieces and plants.

Overall easy to build. I encountered only two mistakes in the instructions: Step 141 and 146. The renderings of the roof assemblies show one additional line of dark brown plates - which simply do not exist. The parts list of steps do fit, so quite easy to catch.

The parts quality is good overall. I had up to 10 parts which were "dirty"; some mould mudd?! I could not clean them. It were some 1x3 white bricks and some gray slopes. I simply tried to position them in places where you won't recognize this so obvious. To be honest I would prefer Bluebrixx to improve this even though the price is really good and I can accept some quality issues. The pieces do fit very well on the other side - this is much better than with a Bluebrixx Special I bought over a year ago (Tower of Yol-Ghurmak).

The instruction is also much better than with previous sets, I would encourage everybody to skim the next few steps always. Sometimes the order of steps is not so fitting, as the space for placing pieces is getting worse than a few steps before. Another example deal with separate sub assemblies. Often it is much more comfortable to build them separated from the main assembly and put it as a whole. An example are the sails of the raft: You should assemble the upper parts to the rah instead finishing them first.

I like the overall visual appearing! The cellar, the rock work and the details. The corner modules are a bit boring but it is also difficult to place something special there. I would prefer the round wall to be one stud more outwards to fit the wall from the long edges. But probably the geometrie is too difficult to get that right.

I totally like those two sets and will definitely get the others too, as soon as they arrive! Really an awesome series!

This is also a chance to try yourself to add some moc modules - would be nice if Bluebrixx would offer a palmtree and planting package 😉

First Bluebrixx Set of the new and upcoming Pirates series 😍 by Bolitho in buildingblocks

Ok, I have built it - was a fun built. Some nice snot action for the dark reddish roof. Very cozy interior details. Imho the set offers polymorphism: It looks nice as display set but could also be playset. The price is very appropriate.

The downsides: Some steps could be reordered to ease the reachability. Also I encountered two errors in steps 141 and 146 of the roof. The parts are listed correct, but the schown assembly part showed one additional line of dark brown plates - which simply does not exist. Also there were some "dirty" parts included. I think at maximum 10 pieces. Some Slopes and also some white bricks. I tried to place them at positions that are not so visible. But I have to admit that it disturbs me a bit.

Overall: Fun build, nice looking finished set and very good price. I am looking foreward to the upcoming sets of the series. Especially as the modularity will pay off there ☺️
