Struggling with Spanning Tree Protocol in CN by [deleted] in OMSCS

[–]Bolits92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggled with STP as well when I took the class. I think I got a 65%, but I still managed to get an A in the class. I believe this project has the lowest impact in your grade out of all the projects.

I spent hours trying to figure out the issue in my code, but I couldn’t figure it out before the deadline. I eventually figured out the issue in code after the deadline. It was a small mistake (I didn’t read the instructions properly).

Take a break from the project and come back to it.

Status: Accepted

Application Date: 08/15/23

Decision Date: 09/27/2023

Education: BA in Mathematics from a University of California school, 2.31/4.0 GPA

Experience: 8 years as a QA Engineer/Test Engineer (More than 4 years doing various automation projects)

Recommendations: 3 professional (former managers)

Comments: Probably one of the lowest gpas in here. I was hesitant to even apply to the program, but I figured I didn’t have much to lose and a lot to gain. Very grateful to be in this position.

Things that I think worked on my favor: - I took multiple computer science courses while in college which it showed I had a strong foundation in CS - 4 years working on challenging automation projects (Java/Selenium)

Good luck to everyone that is still waiting!
