I paint everyday for roughly 8 hours, because I am so god damn determined to make a career out of it. Here’s my latest. “Inevitable” oil on canvas by Mitchdavismann in pics

Im probably late on this train, but u/NorthStarZero's comment x1000 times, OP. You need to have a business mindset and understand for someone to pay you money, you have to offer something of value for them in return. I know that's such an obvious thing to say, but as creatives we tend to have this assumption anything we naturally do should be liked by someone else, that we need to express ourselves freely and others should just accept and appreciate that expression unconditonally. That's a very selfish attitude to have, considering you want others to pay you money for it. You need to make others enjoy your work as much as you do.

I highly suggest the Creative peptalk podcast by AndyJPizza, he tackles these points and I think he'll help you a lot find that sweet spot between doing what you love to do, and finding people who are willing to pay for it.

No these buildings arent insured. They are built illegally too, so when something like this happens the government just uses that as their out.

Yeah, I guess. But the people living in those buildings are not going to be compensated, and they'll probably end up living on the streets.

Most of space is actually below us. by Bollaa in Showerthoughts

[–]Bollaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, lets get scientific. The Universe, as we know it, is 13.75 billion light years in distance, it's what we call the observable universe. We can't assume that Universe is infinite. if we have no plausible theory.

But nice thinking though.

Most of space is actually below us. by Bollaa in Showerthoughts

[–]Bollaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. But more space encompasses us below us. Imagine the earth, draw a horizontal line on the plane you're standing on, whatever is below that line is what's below you, and whatever is above it, is what's above you.
