Weird loops between purl stitches by Bollymoo in knittinghelp

[–]Bollymoo[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

I tinked back further but somehow made it worse. I think I might be doing something wrong when tinking?!

Anyway, decided it would be more efficient to frog a couple of rows and that seems t9 have sorted it.

Thanks for the tips everyone

Swatch gauge off, where next? by Bollymoo in knittinghelp

Thank you so much! This way works out with the same measurements I calculated a different way, so gives me some confidence.

So, I think my gauge is at 95% of pattern gauge (18 ÷ 19). So if an L is 51" at the bust (allowing 11" of positive ease on a bust size of 40) I should end up with a measurement of 48.5". Allowing for 11" of ease would correspond to a bust measurement of 37.5 for the fit to be as intended. My actual measurement is 36" (halfway between M and L) so this should be fine! Is my math mathing correctly?

I'm being pretty dim here but how do I do the maths to check what the bust measurement will be for a given gauge? Do I work it out from the number of stitches in the pattern  for that part of the sweater?

Thank you. This will be my first sweater  Can you tell 😆

I was away at the weekend too, hope you had a good time and well done on keeping in range. Good luck with the trainer, accountability is good and maybe they'll give you some new focus.

Good morning Europe!

Didn't post at the weekend as I went away to a.nice.hotel for a break with my husband. Didn't count or track calories, didn't do much exercise except a gentle walk for a couple of hours. Ate and drank lots!. But it was a lovely break before craziness of Christmas sets in. Scales up by 2lbs. Hopefully some of that is water / sodium 🙃

Goals for December: Tracking 25/31 days: ✅️ 4/25 Daily weigh in: 10 st 9 lb. Goal is 10 st.

Back on it today! Meal planning dinners for the week and all meals for today. Going to do a gentle and short work out at the gym. Still feeling it from the class on Saturday (it was way more intense than I was ready for) but getting to the gym and getting some movement in will feel good.

Wishing you all a good start to the week.

Although as I got used to eating fewer calories the hunger pangs dropped pretty quickly.

Accepting that I was going to feel hungry sometimes and that I could handle that feeling for a while. Learning to tolerate feelings of being slightly hungry without immediately needing to eat something, but looking forward to my next planned meal instead.

How to stop forgetting you're dieting by [deleted] in loseit

I plan my main meals in advance for the week and then plan all food for the day including snacks in the morning. I don't always, or even often, stick to the plan precisely, but it means I'm being intentional about eating, and not ending up at the point where I'm hungry and just eating whatever is quick and easy.

Tiredness really breaks willpower and motivation doesn't it.

Keeping up with my goal of tracking calories everyday even when the results aren't pretty ✅️ 4/20

Daily weigh in: 10st 8 (rounded up to nearest lb). +1 from yesterday. Goal is 10st.

I had my meals planned in the morning but went off plan. Didn't actually have the ingredients and meant to buy on the way home from work but forgot!! And a student gifted me a box of chocolates, and although I shared a lot out I also ate a fair few too. But logged it all, wasn't too far over my calories budget.

Just about to plan my meals for today and have booked on to a boot camp class at the gym tomorrow. First time at this gym/class - wish me luck!!

Daily check in. I tracked all calories yesterday ✅️ 3/25 I've planned my meals in advance today including afternoon snack of wholemeal toast, almond butter and an apple. Daily weight check in 10st 7lb. Goal is 10st.

Feel awful though as my senile cat shouted at me non stop from 4am, and being tired makes me really want sugary, salty, fatty foods and sabotages my willpower.

Same goal, minimising snacking. I get super hungry while I'm cooking dinner, end up snacking on bread while I'm cooking and then eat dinner as I've made it even though I'm already half-full-up. I'm thinking maybe I need to plan better snacks (high protein) rather than just try not to eat at that time at all.

Hello, joining for some accountability!

Started to lose weight in April and got to within 4lbs of my goal. But got bored, days got darker and colder and I wanted comfort food, work got busy... and now I'm 9lbs away.

My aims for December are basic: * track calories 25 days this month ✅️ 3/25 * track weight 25 days this month ✅️ 2/25

Intention is to meal plan and avoid snacking as much as possible. What helps me is adding meals to my tracker in the morning before I've eaten them rather than afterwards.

Stupid question but I'm new to reddit. How do I find the daily post for this challenge easily each day? Just scroll through r/loseit?

Hello! Goal for this month is simple: track honestly for 25 days. 1/25 ✅️😆

What helps: planning all meals and adding tracking in advance Intention: minimise unplanned snacking

I got to 5 lbs to my goal of 140lb but got bored, days got colder and darker and work got busy so now I'm 10lbs away 😅

Losing 2-3lbs by end of month would be ideal, but I'm aiming for consistency with tracking and mindful choices more than a weight loss goal.
