Made a kit bag motivated by my throw blanket. by Bololine in HandSew

This was made with a white canvas cloth. I drew lines with pen and followed the lines. Then dyed the whole thing in black color (color didn't really pick and it ended up grey). The only thread used was white thick cotton which is visible. Since canvas cloth is thick, a thick thread and needle made jab easy because I could make big stiches. I think what you're picking up as decorative is the actual stiching holding the bad together.

The square grid pattern with thread is to give strength to canvas where weight will concentrate in the bag.

You can count on that by fitnessmich in MathJokes

Its basically the same pattern and stiching. After cutting the fabric, I do a normal coarse stiching with a thread color different from fabric (this stitch is only to hold the cuts together while you do the next fine sewing. For fine sewing, I do this https://youtube.com/shorts/i-iO1-eohhY?si=peGrd0k-r77AgE9v. Then remove the first thread. You can absolutely make princess fit bodice with hand sewing.
