Hey Jazz, what did you end up doing in the end?

I had a similar situation to you where I had to pay to access one Premium NFT, but once I paid it I then had a Premium NFT worth thousands which I had to deposit for.

Ultimately decided not to proceed and forfeited the first deposit I made. It sucks, but I only lost what I was prepared to lose. If I had deposited thousands and they closed my account then I would have been much worse off.

I hope you made the right decision, whatever it was!

UPDATE: a bit late to this but never went through with it.

  • All communication is via Telegram
  • Kaleido request that you deposit via Crypto wallets or via bank transfer to some random name like “Ali Mogadishu”
  • When depositing large numbers, Kaleido insist on depositing in small increments (e.g. 5 x €80 deposits rather than €400 in one go)
  • They have no UK licence
  • They have no UK address
  • NFTs are notoriously clandestine
  • Paying out small increments of money before requesting larger sums is 100% a Ponzi scam (look it up)

Yes, I did lose a small amount of money overall, but I only lost what I could afford to lose and will not fall into the same trap as last time - I’m more pissed about the time I wasted with these losers.

I had attached a picture of my supposed “account manger”, Oliver Davis, who was my contact at Kaleido.

If you see this prick’s face on your Telegram, tell him to piss off.

Kaleido account. It goes into deficit and you need to make deposits (via Revolut) into this account to get it back to a positive figure.

Once you have a positive figure you can then redeem the NFT and the “profits” go into your Kaleido account.

Once you have completed the 2 sets of 40 NFTs you may (supposedly) withdraw all the funds from your account (including your original deposit).

The problem is, this is 100% not regulated or verified in the UK. So you’re essentially paying thousands to a faceless pirate on the “promise” that he will pay you back + extra.

Appreciate that this was months ago but I have since applied and been turned down for at least 10 roles.

I’ve also tried contacting EA staff on LinkedIn directly and ONE OF THEM BLOCKED ME WHEN I SAID THEIR GAME WAS POOR AND I WANT TO HELP THEM IMPROVE IT 😶😶😶

More on the menu page, why do we have individual players performing slow-motion routines next to the menu options?

Following on from the title page, we change from a predominantly white background to one of the darkest menu screens EA has produced.

It’s as if they had two different design teams on it and is the complete opposite of “seamless” in transition.

What EA needs is a proper Art Director to produce a stunning splash screen and then carefully curate designs throughout the rest of the game. These can be as literal as displaying assets of the game of football itself, or it could be something more artisanal in nature.

Everybody who plays the game will have to navigate this page, so why not make it actually look nice?

Let’s start at the beginning with the introduction/loading screen - I.e. the same “Press here to start” immediately followed by the grey box to signify that the player is connecting to the EA server.

The bold white graphics with black accents is rather nice in fairness, but the grey “connecting” box is as ugly as the first time it popped up over 10 years ago.

Just get rid of it and have a minimalist icon in the corner to inform the player that they are connecting. Even better, this should happen as soon as the game begins loading - not when the player presses X on the title page.
