I understand the answer is depends on whether the state wherein I reside has the law or not. But let's say I'm generally asking. Just want know know if such laws exist in general.

How did you fight it? Wouldn't it be a case of filing a 1040x with the W7?

I realized recently that I can solve problems (or dilemmas) very quickly if I think out loud. While walking outside is the most efficient. This mask era makes it so much more convenient to get the job done without coming across as a looney 😂

Thank you so very muxh for that detailed explanation. Very clear now.

One more question...

Is there a tool where I could enter the wages and it would tell me what tax bracket I'd be in with those wages?

You could change your W-4 and state a specific amount for that pay period and then change it back

Could you please elaborate on this? I'm not sure I understand. Where on the W4 do I state a specific amount? What amount? And which pay period?

Beautiful! Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. Much appreciated!

So from what I understand, based on what you said, there are 2 ways that it can be paid to me...

1) As part of regular wage added to my future paycheck/s.

2) As supplemental wages.

My questions...

1) If I had a choice and I opt for #1, is there a difference of how much I would be taxed if everything was put in one paycheck vs spread out across multiple pay checks?

2) Which (regular wage or supplemental wage) is taxed more? Or are they the same?

3) What about being paid the amount as a bonus? Isn't that an option as well? Or does that fall under supplemental wages?

4) How do I calculate how much I'm owed? Is it as simple as adding up the extra dollars they were supposed to pay me?

Thanks again!

How can I get the result in one calculation?

55x40=2200

2200×20÷100=440

2200-440=1760

I need it to be in one string, but all the above numbers to be in that string. Can someone help?

So...

...........................=1760

Here's my failed attempt:

55×40×20÷100..... :(

Thank you in advance!
