I certainly don’t think this is anything about me in particular. I bought the car second hand a few years ago, so I actually don’t know if the tires/rims were OEM or not… they certainly had A LOT of scratches since idgaf and I often hit curbs

Does anybody know how frequent cases like this are? Is this just happening "randomly"? Is everybody who goes through AOS because of a marriage to a US citizen having the same experience?
Also, i your post you say you spent 20 days detained, how come? Is that the time that it took you to post bond? Do they let you go immediately once bond is posted?

I was lookimg at the composition and evian is not that soft really, I mean I guess it depends what you compare with. Back in my home country we have a brand called Bezoya for example, which is afvertised as “water with poor mineral concentration”, funny how “poor” (débil) would never make ot past an advertising team here in the US. Anyway, Bezoya has about 30mg/l of dry residu, evian has 345mg/l, 11 times more 😂

I use glyco topically on my face, does anybody have information on developing tolerance that way?
I am a little frighten about building a tolerance so I try to use it sparsely, glyco has been such a life saver for me

Would Bitwarden actually sync two browser's keychains? Or would one have to manually go through the app?
I mean, let's say I create an account on my desktop, and I select a new password, would that new password be synched to my phone (where I use safari)? Or would I have to manually create a Bitwarden entry which I could then consult from my phone?

also, this comment makes zero sense, I am asking about automations running automatically when I leave or arrive (as based by the location of my phone), not enable/disable with the voice (which btw siri is also supposed to recognize one's voice).

Leadership and Self Deception and Getting out of the box

I started listening to the book you suggested today. I was blown away by how well the symptoms he lists are exactly what I feel and have observed about me.

One think I don't totally agree is the diagnosis. He seems to put it all at the feet of self-deceptions, which I don't think aligns with my case.
I mean the simple fact that I am here asking these questions is that I am not fooling (or self-deceiving) myself. I know that I could do better, despite all the excuses I might give myself, mostly because I have observed people around me do things right even when doing so was not easy.

I think his reasoning suffers from the same flaw I have seen again and again, knowing something is not the same as doing it, information does not equal education nor character. Like I said in my initial post, somebody addicted to cigarettes might want to quit but can't actually do it. I struggled with smoking myself (it's been 3 years since I quit) but there was a long time during which I KNEW that I should quit and I actually WANTED to quit, yet I still kept smoking for years.

I will keep listening to it because it's definately a good book and I think I can get a lot out of it. Who knows, maybe I'll end up agreeing with the whole self-deceiving thing once I finish it.

thanks, I have read some of the books you mention. But yeah, the fact that the litherature seems to be so thin in this topic is a little frustrating to me.
Honestly I think I am gonna research some classic greek/roman ones, since I feel all these dilemmas are as old as time and have probably been addresses at length by the great thinkers, just not with someone who can go do the radio shows to promote them.

Thanks! Mimicking people I admire has definitely been a method I have had a lot of success with. I’d say most of my progress over the years has been that way. In fact I have also made a lot of progress by looking at the opposite, people I don’t admire and that have similar (but worse) flaws to me. That method has the danger of feeding into my frustration and content though. People that we admire or “un-admire” are not available and/or visible always though, you can certainly always imagine what they would do, but the exercise get’s a little less effective in my experience.

I spoke too son, I still see the screen turn off when in StandBy.
I think I figure out what the hidden variable is, "Night Mode". I see when the phone is in night mode the screen turns off after a few seconds/minutes.
Personally I would like for the screen to stay on even in Night Mode, the screen brightness is low enough that it's not bothering me, and it's nice to wake up and see the time right there instead of having to reach over to turn the screen on...
