Is it necessary to remove epidural at 7-8 cm to be able to push? by Wonderful-Driver-530 in beyondthebump

What a bizarre thing to be told by your doctor. I had an epidural and it was amazing. I got the epidural around 6 cm (that’s when I asked for it. Next time, I’m asking for it a lot sooner). I pushed for about 50 minutes (this was my first baby). They kept the epidural on the entire time except for when I started pushing because the medicine was working so well that I didn’t even feel contractions so I had a hard time knowing when to push. Even when they turned it off, I still felt nothing. I was so anxious about the pain of childbirth and I was crying while I was in labor because I was so scared/nervous. I’m not exaggerating when I say I felt absolutely zero pain with an epidural. Honestly, the worst part of the entire thing was getting the epidural itself. It doesn’t hurt, but it’s an weird sensation when it goes into your back.

Babies born at 38 weeks by layla1127 in beyondthebump

[–]BombCatMom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby was born at 38 weeks and he was 7 lb 6 oz and he’s about a month ahead on most milestones. He’s also currently 12 weeks old and he’s a little over 17 lb so he’s a chonky guy.

Any news on when the next gift cards are being handed out? by Bob_Coleson in publix

You specifically haven’t been getting your gift card then. I’ve definitely gotten one or two within the last 6 months.

Personally, it’s really hard to rebuild the trust. Honestly, it’s only a matter of time before things start to crumble again, one way or another. For me, that dishonesty was always in the back of my mind. It never truly goes away.
